Cuti Cuti Sabah:Part 1

Assalamualaikum,just got back from 4D3N vacay,letih tapi best!Alhamdulillah dipermudahkan everything though awal2 agak tension sebab tertinggal Garmin dgn Babybjorn,tapi we managed to rent one from the car rental company dan berjaya mendukung muhriz gilir hahahaha.Ok mari update part by part sementara rajin.

Flight

Beli ticket masa AA promo as mentioned earlier,utk 2 adults+1 infant all in one fare dpt RM124 from LCCT-KK.Then lambat sikit(promo dah habis) beli pulak Alor Star-LCCT return tickets dpt RM174.Upon online check in,saya add luggage utk return flight so kat situ tambah another RM20x2.Change seat yg tak cantik hehe for RM6x2 So total habis RM350 je!.Ok actually tak payah buy seat pon tak apa kalau flight tak penuh.Kitorang mmg board paling lambat for 2 reasons 1)sebab kalau board awal2,muhriz nie kan tak boleh dok diam,he hates to be in close quarters,so kalau board early,he wont be able to move around sebab isle is being used by other passengers 2)bile masuk lambat,boleh tgk la mana seat kosong,jauh sket dari passengers lain kalau ade hehe.Ok itu nanti kalau rajin tulis tips on flying with toddlers.Flying with AA ok je,dah biasa pon naik low cost flight masa berulang london-munich dulu,so no diff at all.They weight your hand luggage and u just have small room for your legs,in flight meals pulak semua kene beli,but heck for the price we paid,don't mind pon not to walk through an air conditioned walkaway hahaha!AA tgh buat promo lagi nie,so go grab it!

Hotel

1)Promenade Service Apt,Api Api Center,Kota Kinabalu

Flight tick beli bulan 5 tahun lepas,bulan 12 baru start cari hotel,eh apartment.Yer saya mmg particularly tanak dok hotel,nak dok apartment yg boleh masak.Sebab even though saya dah suap juga Muhriz food kedai,tapii sgt amat jarang dan kalau boleh avoid,mmg saya avoid lagi.Even kitorang nak mkn luar pon masih bawak homemade food utk Muhriz.So nak stay for 4 days,adalah tidak tergamak mama nak suap food kedai utk kamu semata mata.Jadi mesti cari apt yg boleh masak.Yg jumpa nya 1)Marina Court 2)Prominade Service Apt.Since bertiga je nie,i opt for Promenade lah sebab die ade studio suite,through agoda,rate die RM98/nite tak silap tapi bila tgk website promenade sendiri,eh RM50 je!plus tax baru RM58,murah sgt!So i booked for 3 nites lah,tapi sebab we changed our plan nak ke Kundasang jugak,cancel last nite dpt refund-RM45,RM13 burn tolak admin fee,so ok lah.Apt nie ok,for the price we paid,couldn't ask for more!Ada rice cooker,so rice cooker tak payah bawak.Periuk +kuali pon ada tapi kalau tanak guna boleh bawak sendiri punya.Tapi bukan semua apt units promenade punya,so expect to bump into locals lah.Tapi entrance ada guard jaga all the time,so insyaAllah selamat.Apt nie right at the city center,next to Warisan Square and Centerpoint,walking distance to Filipina Market semua tue tapi kalau malas jalan amik je bus pon boleh or cab ke,rakyat malaysia kan suka naik cab hehe,plus weather kat KK is unpredictable,tepi pantai kot,kalau panas tue yaAllah mmg panas betul.Apt nie ada a few blocks,so expect kene berjalan skit dari ofc promenade(block 3) to yours,macam kitorang dpt block 1.Kat bawah mmg kedai,semua ada,restaurant,mini mart,cyber cafe,dobby,so senang,mc D pon bawah nie je.Promenade ade juga apt di Marina Court,just opposite api api center nie,so kalau dtg ramai,boleh amik yg tue sebab ade 2/3 bedrooms apt.So saya sgt puas hati sebab dpt masak,seafood fresh kat Sabah mmg sgt fresh dan murah!

2)JResidence,Kinabalu Park

1 week before pegi baru decide nak gi kundasang sekali so kecoh cari hotel,ramai suggest kinabalu pine resort tapi sebab dah lmbt,tinggal superior deluxe room je rm285/nite.tgk itinerary macam byk nak jln plus kene check out awal the next day nak gi airport,so macam rugi jek.so cari2 jumpa jresidence nie,room is priced at rm138/nite on weekends but just rm80/nite kalo weekdays.boleh masak jugak since ada dapor tapi rice cooker takde lah.ade 7 chalets and 1 3-bedrooms villa je.each chalet ade 2 rooms and a big verandah utk melepak.so kalau dtg dgn family mmg sesuai.i tried to book chalet yg facing the valley tapi dah full.so amik je lah mane ade,lmbt sgt ;p. Bilik die kecik with basic stuff je,so kalau mmg plan nak melepak dlm bilik semata mata mmg tak boleh kot stay sini,muhriz mesti ajak keluar main kat verandah tue je,mlm2 mau ketaq sejuk dok kat luar bilik.bilik sebelah pon occupied tapi macam janji pulak,time kitorang keluar,diorang baru balik,time kitorang balik,diorang keluar,so hi bye kat car park je hehe.

Transportation

1)Kereta sewa kat KK tak murah macam langkawi below RM100 hari tue dpt nissan sentra dah.Google around org ckp rate kat Hertz by SimeDarby paling murah tapi since kitorang dah lambat,tak jadi murah jugak dah.Anyway kalau nak ke Kinabalu park semua tue,jalan die winding byk bukan sikit,nak ke Desa Cattle lagi lah,so kalau tanak bontot/kaki kebas or kepala terhantuk,sewa lah selain kancil.We rented a MyVi for RM180+RM20 for a Garmin,ni utk gi kundasang je.dlm kk everything is within walking distance.hubby's uncle yg arrangekan.Kawan die nie.MyVi nie sewa die RM120/day,tapi since kami picked up at 7am,returned the car at 2pm the next day,kene charge la for another half day.Kereta dia hantar kat apt,kitorang returned kat airport.GPS kene sewa jugak sebab mama terlupa nak bawak garmin sendiri!Nak jalan sambil bace map mmg tak lah kot sebab dah years bergantung harap kat En Garmin,nasib baik lah owner kete tue ade jugak Garmin.I just asked him for a GPS,takde lah ckp nak Garmin tapi bila die deliver kete tgk2 dpt Garmin hehe hurray,nak kasi TomTom pon ok saja.So jalan dgn GPS mmg insyaAllah takde masalah lah,semua die jumpa except Desa Cattle.Tapi desa cattle mmg senang je nak cari.Tak payah peningkan kepala bace map or tanye org

2)City buses

Ini naik jugak hehe sorang RM0.50 je and since KK nie senang je jalan nye,you won't get lost naik bus pon boleh agak la nak turun kat mana.Or paling senang,ckp kat driver ke conductor bus tue nak gi mana,die akan ckp lah kalau dah sampai.Nak senang,amik city street map kat airport,ada die mark bus stop kat situ.City bus ni agak colorful dan tak busuk ye sebab sayur ikan semua kene letak kat compartment luar.

3)Cab

pon it's not that expensive.to give an idea so u know how much to expect,dari jesselton point to api api center diorang charge RM10.Airport to city is RM30.
