Going there this weekend insyaAllah.My first time nie and i am so looking forward to it hik hik.Org lain dah berpuluh kali sampai kan?Sebab saya org pantai timur,jadi asal cuti cuti pulau sahaja mesti Perhentian or Redang or Tioman dlm kepala.Went to Perhentian with family and for honeymoon.To Redang in 2007 pula as anniversary getaway and we vowed to come back to these islands for their beautiful beaches and coral.These islands are not as commersialised as Langkawi is.There's no duty free shops,harbour,cable car and such.It's either you dozed off in the chalet or have a dip in the sea or go find nemo.Utk honeymooners mmg sgt amat sesuai kekeke.

Ok my initial plan,pegi balik hari since weekend nie sambung dgn public holiday kan,malas nak berserabut ramai org.Tapi my sister berjaya dapatkan a very good deal utk Langkawi Lagoon Resort dan die belanje yeay!After going through the review,found out that this resort :
1.punya private beach,penting sebab Muhriz suke beach,jadi tidak lah kami perlu ke crowded Pantai Cenang
2.punya big swimming pool yg kurang crowded juga,penting sebab Muhriz suke pool.
Hoihh bagi alasan anak saje,padahal maknya yg nak sgt pergi ;p
Ringkasnya,review ckp this resort is quiet,far away from the crowd so sgt sesuai utk family.So settle!
Now,my problem is kereta sewa.Sudah book utk day trip,so kene extend la sebab sekarang plan nak tido sane pulak.Tapi owner ckp sebab last minute dah fully booked utk the next day.Aiseh,kene cari kereta lain lah.
So sapa2 ade contact,kindly share,tenkiu!

We donot plan to go for island hopping,waterfall,beras terbakar,underwater world or semua tue.But maybe ke 1.Cable Car 2.Wildlife Sanctuary-muhriz suke birds!
Shopping?will try to squeeze in between.Masa kat US dulu beli dah Corelle,tapi utk mak dan kakak,tak ada perasaan pon nak beli utk sendiri.Sekarang baru berperasaan nak berpinggan hik hik.So any travel tip utk org yg first time ke Langkawi nie?Terima kaseh.

Seorang pemandu Audi TT terlampau cumil(pada pandangan maknye lah) was spotted di rumah atoknya di kota bharu,kelate baru baru ini.Beliau disaman oleh mamanya kerana dipercayai memandu dlm keadaan yg err...menakotkan kucing kucing dirumah itu serta membuat mama beliau berjaga jaga dgn mop siap sedia utk mengelap!La ni suka sgt tak pakai diapers.Baju tok sah cerita la mmg tunjuk body je kat rumah hehe.
kelihatan pemandu tersebut cuba melarikan diri setelah melihat mamanya yg sudah berubah menjadi singa memegang CD

Lamanya tak update!
Saje nak cerita,ubat tido saya ialah tgk gambar dlm hp!Owh what else boleh buat kalau both hubby and Muhriz dah pengsan(diorang nie selalunya pengsan dulu).
A day before my schedule c-sect,my old phone buat hal,battery kong.It's very old tau,dari saya di States hak hak.So hubby bought a new one for me.Just a basic touch screen phone,tapi lasak phone ni!Boleh survive Muhriz haha.Mommies sure know what i mean.Hari hari phone nie kene baling sampai tercabut battery.Hari malang simcard pon kene kutil keluaq ;p

next month,muhriz will turn 18 months,setahun setengah!Still doesnot talk the real language but tell you,this guy sgt bising ckp bahasa dia lah.Of course bukan bahasa German kalau tak sure baba nya faham.Ok his new vocab:

Muhriz dah pandai panggil me Ma or Mama.Kalau cari Mama bising lah satu rumah die shout Ma-ma-ma-ma.Hubby dgn saya suke menyorok dari budak kecik nie hi hi hi,kecoh die cari.He kept calling hubby Ba-ba instead of Ba-pa(as hubby wanted),hubby pon pasrah.So Baba it is.

Tajuk pon MY Baby,yg saya,seorang Stay At Home Mama,perlukan.So what your baby needs might be different :)

Rocker
Muhriz kan masa kecik tak boleh diletak,never ever hahaha.Takde nye lah die nak tergolek sorang2 atas mattress main dgn soft toys,mmg mak pak bermimpi lah if he was OK to be left alone.Mesti dan wajib di dukung.tido pon nak org pegang.So since kami malas nak ajar buai,cuba lah letak dlm rocker,mmg beli siap2 before deliver lagi ahaha.Sometimes Muhriz even tido siang kat sini.tapi tak lama pon,once die dah pandai meniarap,tanak tido sini dah nak tido atas katil.Ok some may ckp ala ape beza rocker dgn buai?henjut jugak.Ada beza nya hehe,rocker nie tekan suis takat vibrate je and if it rocks pon,sikit je.Sy tak pernah tgk how an electric buai works,maybe same je ye,no idea.Most parents pon sure dah tau how dangerous a buai can be for a baby,i mean the SBS(Shaken Baby syndrome)So kalau tido dlm buai hayun kuat kuat mmg sgt bahaya,ni kire an alternative lah.
Baby Carrier
Hubby does the wearing most of the times.Mama baru pakai tak sampai 10 kali kot.Muhriz nie sometimes die ok dlm buggy,sometimes tanak.So kalau die tanak,kite letak die dlm Bjorn,mmg die nak hihi.Sometimes die sendiri yg nak duduk dlm Bjorn ni.Plus kalau gi tempat yg tak buggy friendly,dok dlm Bjorn jugak die.
Ni sampai tertido tido dlm Bjorn

An electric sterilizer
Byk jasa nie,especially utk nursing mommies kan,nak sterilize pump lagi,ebm storage bottle lagi.

Breastpump
I heart freestyle!IMHO,part breastpump nie,if you're really into breastfeeding,you definitely have to get a good pump.Tapi of course on top of the pump mesti ada niat dan commitment dan determination.Jgn ingat ade pump hebat sudah cukup.

Nursing Cover
Ini mmg penyelamat dunia jugak.Muhriz stop minum bottle after 2 month kot,lepas tue nenen shj maunya.So selalunya kalau keluar,i will make sure sebelum keluar kereta nie dah
nenen.Tapi kalau die nak tido,there and then jugak nak nenen huhu.Nak gi nursing room pon tak sempat so sib baik ade cover nie.Tapi nie pon guna tak lama jugak,around
8 mth macam tue budak ini sudah panjang akal,suka selak2 nursing cover main peekaboo with mama hohoho.So lepas tue mmg kene pergi nursing room jugak la kalau tak saje je buat free show.

Ok ini pulak ada 2 baby stuff yg agak controversial:

Pacifier
We were so close to get one for Muhriz!Nak gi curi curi beli okay sebab my family mmg tak kasi bagi ni.Sebabnya Muhriz suke mengempeng huuu,sekali nenen sejam!
Tido sejam then bgn nak nenen balik.Awal2 pantang tue kan tak pandai nurse mengiring lagi,so mlm2 mama jadi burung hantu la kene bgn.Tapi nasib baik tak beli pon pacifier nie hahaha.
Once i dah pandai nurse side by side(tummy to tummy),mmg tak ada masalah sebenarnya.Hopefully baby2 lepas nie pon tak payah gune lah sebab to be honest sy tak berapa gemar tgk baby berputing di mulut,especially kalau baby dah besar,toddler dgn puting lagi lah tak comel.Nak tido berpacifier macam acceptable la jugak.Kalau tgh main berputing
macam tak sesuai je,sucking with no point is needless!Plus kalau nak breastfeed baby,bende nie mmg haram la.nanti baby akan confuse.Breastfeeding nie awal2 mmg byk trick sket.It takes
a while until you get the hang of it,so mesti kuat semangat.

Walker
One of the bad baby development device.If you or your babysitter insist to get one,only introduce it after baby dah boleh duduk properly if i'm not mistaken.Sebelum tue definitely a NO as it might delay your baby physical development.Tapi kami mmg against it,so Muhriz does not have one.He got a push walker cum
ride on instead.He started walking at 11 months,sibuk tolak push walker nie lah.By 12 months mmg dah boleh jalan stable dah alhamdulillah.
Ok ini keperluan dan tidak keperluan saya sajalah nak share hihi peace yo!

Muhriz and Rio

Birds are among the first animals Muhriz knows and can clearly call them.Kalau tgk sky,then ade birds,dgn happy akan point then ckp Birdddds.
So we are not surprised that he loves Rio (yerp the birdie movie) so much but what amazed us is that he can sit still in front of the laptop the whole movie!And what is even more surprising is his reaction to the different scene/mood in the movie:

1.Part Blu and his friends happy dan dance around-Muhriz pon senyum sengih,gelak dan joget sama
2.Blue and Jewel kene tangkap-Muhriz nangis.Jewel kene tangkap-nangis lg hihi

3.What is this guy name again?Parrot putih jahat ni.First appearance die lg Muhriz tak suka,part die play sick kemudian pengsankan guard tue anak haku marah pastu part burung putih nie tangkap Jewel when she was trying to escape tue,terus Muhriz nangis huuuu.Pastu everytime ada die ni Muhriz akan either 1.pandang tempat lain 2.ambil tangan kami-a signal
suruh fwd/rewind utk skip the part.Dlm hati ada taman hik hik scene ganas ganas tamau tgk.

4.How he recognizes things,macam trucks,puppy/dog,monkey,hill etc.Yes,dlm real life pon die mmg tahu juga,ini tgk cartoon pon sibuk point to these things.

Ayah muhriz ckp lepas nie boleh la bawak die gi cinema kot hihi.Cartoon macam nie mama bg lah tgk,kalau Spongebob confirm la mama tutup terus tv.

Muhriz and fridge magnets

Dah 2 hari gloomy nie.Bukan winter nie,tapi musim hujan kot hehe.Remind me so much of my times living abroad.Snow mmg lah seems interesting at first,tapi kalau dah stuck in heavy snow for weeks,heater asik on duploh pat jam,jalan asyik nak jatuh,you'll wish you're in somewhere else warmer.

Semlm we spent half an hour looking at the fridge magnets.Started collecting them in 2005 kot,rugi pulak tak start masa kat US.Most of the magnets we got on our own,fews were given by family,friends and virtual friends,danke :)
Each one of them has its own story jadi kami cerita lah kat Muhriz where did we get em,what happened then,seronok pulak hehe.
Kenapa tak penuhkan satu side je?Sebab i once found some in the laundry basket,pekerjaan anakanda kesayangan lah kan.Tapi sekarang he's getting taller,yg kat bawah2 tue kalau die jengket mmg sampai.Anak mak nie die macam tak senang hati tau tgk magnet nie dok je kat situ,dah sudah.

Songkhla/Hatyai

Went to Songkhla and Hatyai almost sebulan lepas kot.A day trip je.Hatyai is just 45 mins away from Bukit Kayu Hitam.Songkhla pulak 15 mins from Hatyai.So tak jauh sgt.

For breakfast we had pulut ayam di Danok,kedai right lepas Imigration post.Saya tak suka sebenarnya tapi bila rasa yg Siam punya sedap!Rasa nak ajak hubby pegi border breakfast pulut ayam lah.Gambar blurr tgh berperang dgn si kecik sebok nak dukung dan jalan.Dukung dan duduk tamau ok.He's so not a morning guy,padahal sampai Changloon around 8am baru die bgn,tapi still moody.

Lepas tue pegi Samilla Beach,Songkhla kejap.Tried this ice cream in coconut shell,30Bht je.tapi i wish i tak gatal nak beli sebab tak sedap!Didn't even finish it,ingat balik rasa nak muntah,yuck!

Thai bus,fancy sungguh hehe
Laa,kamu geli pasir rupanya nak?Nampak semut hero sgt pegi picit semua heheFor lunch,went to this Thai Restaurant,Sami Kitchen namanya.Hmm biasa biasa je sebab tue i didnot bother to ambil gambar.Kami makan yg standard masakan thai lah,tomyam,siakap sweet sour,mix vege,kerabu mangga,seafood ape ntah.Kedai nie sgt dekat dgn masjid besar Songkhla,tempat rakyat Msia bernikah kahwen.Jgn main main,ade pelamin lagi tau dlm masjid nie.

Lepas tue ke Hatyai.Mmg takde plan nak beli ape pon except kacang kacang,longan kering (milk booster nih)hik hik,Gambar hatyai pon takde sebab busy dgn anak.Cashew,pistachio nuts beli berkg kg,amik ko sekarang pon tak habis lagi.Tapi murah la RM33/kg.

Before going back,kami singgah ke Klonghae floating food market.There're 2 sections to this market;the main area ade macam flea market sikit then there's the floating food market,where the hawkers lined up their small boats by the river. Of course lah as the name suggests,we're more interested to the floating market.You can find all kind of thai snack,food and drink sold over here,almost everything is Halal and priced at 20Bht(RM2).Tapi kami beli air jer.Air biasa je,coconut,orange juice,longan etc but what made it special was the cute porcelain mug.Macam2 rupa ade yg you're buying with the mug for RM2 or RM2.50,cheapo eh?We bought 2 tapi dah buang hahaha.

nasib baik muhriz tak minum air pelik pelik nie.
Hatyai sebenarnya tidak lah murah sgt.Maybe sebab ramai sgt tourist from Msia/Singapore kot.So kalau nak beli barang kat Danok pon ok dah rasanya.

Weekend

Weekend is always meant for family matter,don't you agree?Even a home maker like me tak sabar nak weekend sebab hubby is around hehe.Managed to
1)clear the store room.Nak bersihkan hari biasa tak larat sorang sorang.
2)Bersih kan barang baby Muhriz i.e his maxi cosi,rocker,ebm storage bottles.Packed dlm plastic and sealed in a box
3)Grocery shopping di Tesco
4)Tukar battery kereta hubby yg kong tiba tiba.Nasib baik kat rumah lg
5)Had Moi+ice kacang Din Alang Simpang Empat

17 bulan dah!

Muhriz Bin Mohammad Harith turns 17 months today Alhamdulillah.So let see what he's up to:

-masih fully breastfed.penah try bagi freshmilk yg i minum tapi die kuekk,tak sedap kot haha.
-consistently tests his physical abilities.membuas dlm erti kata lain.So he loves to run instead of walking,enjoy climbing,couch kecik die pon panjat,push walker pon boleh buat panjat.And he loves going up and down the stairs.Baru nak belajar hop,tapi with both feet,lompat ayam je dulu hehe
-learn the correct way to use fork&spoon,phone,remote tv+air cond(boleh on off sendiri).So he insists on using those and some other tools himself macam nak cut his own food.
-pandai on/off laptop jugak.kalau nak tgk cd/chugginton die akan on laptop and wait for the screen to appear then call for our help ckp nak nak nak
-likes riding toys
-super loves trucks(nampak truck mesti ckp wowwwwwwwwwwwwww!) and animals.Zoo taiping dah so maybe bulan depan nak gi langkawi bawak pegi wildlife santuary pulak ye
-knows monkey(which he calls aa-key),cat,dog,bird,puppy,baby,arms up,clap,feet/toes/nose/mouth
-dgr lagu catchy sket mula menari
-kick ball forward
-takes toys apart then sambung together balik(macam his rhino,ikea trucks)
-read books on his own tapi still prefer kami bacakan.board books byk dah hancur kene koyak
-tak suka berus gigi.tapi pantang nampak berus gigi mama/ayah mesti nak guna!
-suka transfer stuff from one place to another.tak kira lah beras/nasi/air
-suka pakai kasut dlm rumah
-kalau marah especially tanak balik dari tempat die suka(playground ke) mesti lepuk mama/ayah.Hmm not good nie but i read somewhere but this is actually a sign of trust as he knows that we're the safest person to show just how upset he is.
-still switching back and forth between right and left hand usage.Most of the times makan with left hand,stack blocks with right hand.tapi kadang2 makan with both hands hehe
-masih a late riser,kul 10 ke atas selalunya baru bgn.Tido malam?before 11 berangan la mak pak nak berehat
-suke imitates kami.semlm hubby kacau air dgn straw before minum.within seconds anak die buat jugak haha

2011 was a wonderful year.
Nothing pleased me more than being able to attend and watch muhriz grows right in front of me.
Tiada risau how others might treat him.
Tiada risau anak sakit tetapi masih dihantar ke nursery.
Tgk anak membesar dgn gembira dan ceria,mama pon suka hati!He is indeed one happy kid,sgt active.
Dan saya amat bersyukur,muhriz diberi kesihatan yg amat baik,hanya demam 3 kali sepanjang tahun.Itu pon bersebab.2 kali teething fever,sekali demam campak.Yg lain sihat sihat sahaja,mak pak selsema dan demam, die still running around.Khasiat susu ibu,hubby kate =p
Believe it or not,tahun lepas,seminit pon saya tak pernah tinggalkan Muhriz(pegi toilet tak kira la kan)Eh tapi kalau nak dikira pon,paling lama sy pernah tinggalkan Muhriz pon for 3 hours,itupon once,dalam pantang pegi check up.Org kata,go and get some "me" time lah.Tak boring ke asik berkepit dgn anak.Maksudnya awak bohsan dgn anak awak ke?hek hek
Tapi bagi saya,itu tidak mungkin boleh,muhriz tido lama pon saya rindu!

Org lain sibuk review career,saya?Hiks masih tidak terbuka hati untuk tinggalkan anak kepada babysitter,tetapi Alhamdulillah Allah bukakan rezeki lain.Terima kasih Allah.Terima kasih kepada customer yg mempercayai :)

Had this conversation with hubby last nite

Me:Do you still remember Dr Hasliza(our gynae)told us it takes 18-24 months for the c-sect to fully heal so it's best for us to wait before i get pregnant again.But soon Muhriz will turn 18 months,abang dah ready for the second askar?hehe

Hubby: Of couse la,Muhriz dah besar nie.Tapinya..

Me: I know there are plenty of mak mak who have carried back-to-back after a c-section and they were just fine.Kak yah(my 2nd sis) pon kan

Hubby: I know,but that means you MIGHT have to give up breastfeeding Muhriz before he turns 2.And i know how much you would like to susukan him sampai 2 tahun kan?Nanti pregnant letih nak nenenkan muhriz lagi macamana,tau lah muhriz kan monster susu.

Before i started going out with hubby,saya ialah tidak makan di kedai mamak.Nor did i eat any Indian food,mmg rugi besar kan?Hubby nie pulak kalau boleh dating kedai mamak pon tak apa sebab die hantu roti canai,naan dan segala roti lain.Awal2 i still jual mahal,gi makan mamak order nasi lemak ;p pastu suka maggi goreng,lepas tue dok penang for almost 3 years i yg hantu tosai la tandoori la,roti pisang,tisu?semua telan.Ni kalau dulu every week kene makan,sekarang pegi penang wajib pekena!

Sy dan hubby sgt suka kan cuti cuti pulau.Tapi last ke Redang was 4 yrs ago?ke Perhentian pulak setahun sebelum tue.So it's been a while.Now that we have muhriz,lagi lah mak risau nak naik boat.When i saw this Jerejak 2D/1N voucher for just RM120,knowing that Jerejak is just few mins away from Penang(10 mins boat ride to be exact),tak pandang belakang dah terus beli.Murah kan?We made it to the island last friday since coupon x boleh guna for saturday/public holiday stay.

Everyone knows Jerejak Island offers no crystal clear sea or stretches of white sandy beaches.Macam nie takde.

Redang,few years back.Perfect beach.

It's just a nice island getaway for those who want to relax,enjoy the sea breeze without having to travel far.So don't expect much,tak dak org mandi pon kat pantai tue he he,byk jelly fish,plus kilang penuh seberang,ada beran?The resort has a lot of outdoor activities though; jungle tracking,flying fox,wall climbing,telematch games.So utk teambuilding sgt sesuai.

Chicken breast-pound thinly then marinate dgn soy+oyster sauce sket,kacau tepung jagung+telor to form batter,coat the chicken with it then fry until brown.

Sauce(sgt senang!): Lemon juice,lemon slice,chicken broth,honey/sugar,salt+pepper,tepung jagung utk pekatkan.

Muhriz buat jugak tapi most of the times we can spot the missing item back.Sebab dah tau his fav places hehe.Sometimes he put them in the fridge,laundry basket,or in his opened diapers pack.But his fav hiding place is always the mega block wagon
It's been a while since i last look into his wagon nie.Sebabnya 1)we didnot have any missing item to look for 2)sy malas nak bersihkan his mega blocks haha,nie mega blocks,kalau lego yg lagi kecik?

Anyho,i decided to clean it yesterday and look what have i found underneath the blocks!
My calculator,vit C for the fridge,ebm bottle,my skip rope!(hoho nampak sgt dah lama tak skip ;p) and my old phone.

Kids can sure be sneaky little monster hiks!

Boy or Girl?

When you're expecting,it's the question everyone wants to know the answer to.Of course all you want is a healthy baby,but don't tell me deep down you are not hoping for a she or he hehehe.

Hubby and I?Mula mula we wanted a boy first.But going into 5 weeks,i told him a kak long would be fun too.Tapi lepas tue rasa nak boy semula ;p So being a fickle minded,saya tidak percaya kan naluri hati walaupon hati sy kata boy hiks.Masa 16 weeks check up,the gynae ckp there was a high chance for a boy,since then scan tiap2 bulan pon Muhriz budak tak malu asik tunjuk bird ;p

Ok anyway,you may have heard of all the old wives' tales;perut ke depan baby boy,melebar ke tepi girl,or is it vice versa?Tido ke kiri kanan macamana ntah.
Or tried the Chinese Calendar,or or makan asam to have a girl or more seafood to get a boy?eh again don't tell me tak pernah dengaq ;p
Hubby and I referred to none of those,we looked for a more scientific explanation instead;the ovulation calendar.meh nak share

There're 2 main uncertainties though ;
1) it's hard to be certain when do you ovulate 2)when exactly the conception happen.
But no harms trying,you still havve 50% of success rate hihi.Simple je,all u need to do is to look at the day of conception and the day of ovulation.Ovulation(waktu subur)selalunya on ~14th day of your menstrual cycle(count dari 1st day period).So,
-If conception occurred within 2-2.5 days of ovulation, you can expect for a boy.
-If conception occurred prior to 2-2.5 days before ovulation, you can predict for a girl.

This has to do with the nature of the types of sperm.The "girl" sperm tends to be stronger and live longer than the "boy" sperm but it is a slow swimmer.
The boy "sperm" tends to swim faster, and is more likely to beat the girl in the race to the victory.
So, it makes sense that if you and hubby go lovey dovey a day or 2 before your egg is released,the "boy" sperm would have died,leaving the "girl" But if conception occurs close to ovulation, the "boy" sperm are going swim like a champion,leaving the girls terkedek kedek

Our case?Went to Barcalona on my 13th day,before that mmg berehat sebab both hubby dan saya sgt busy and super tired.So Muhriz bukan Maisarah lah hasilnya kih kih

Tapi boy ke girl,itu Allah yg tentukan.Bukan semua girl a slow swimmer and who knows if your hubby pegi outstation hari ke 11 tapi you still get a boy?Tetapi tidak salah berusaha dan semestinya berdoa.Hahaha selamat mencuba!

Muhriz turns 16 months hari nie alhamdulillah.So mari tgk ape budak cheeky ini up to:

-If he wants something,he will say "nak" then point or take my hands to whatever it is.Paling suka,ajak berguling atas katil :)
-Babbles a whole lot!bising macam mama hubby ckp ;p.He actually babbles in his own language.Sometimes his sentence sgt panjang but there's no real words.Yg die boleh ckp clearly ialah bye bye,no,nak,bird,tuck(for truck).Sometimes panggil me betul lah "mama",sometimes "Ba".He sometimes calls "Ba" for almost everything,ayah pon "Ba" sekali.
-Understands simple instructions (with gestures)macam "Muhriz,bring the cup to mama please".Or if he wants to play outside,sy akan ckp "put on your shoes first"nanti terkial kial
mamat kecik tue nak pakai kasut.Suruh sayang mama,nanti die kiss atau lebih kepada makan pipi mama
-like to imitates.paling suka,tiru mama lipat kain lepas tue habis bersepah la
-tanak duduk dlm high chair dah.He prefers to sit on my/hubby's lap dan makan sepinggan.dah mama nak makan sambal belacan ke budu ke tak bleh dah
-power struggle nak tukar diapers.Hohh kalau die popped adalah hazab nak basuh,confirm mama kene mandi lepas tue(get what i mean?)
-Sudah dropped his morning nap.Jadi sekarang die adalah nap sekali sehari je.Tapi sekali nap boleh sampai 2jam.
-Terrified at the sound of loud noise macam thunderstorm or blender.Cepat2 dtg kat mama dan hug sekuat hati hehe.

Muhriz's first food was avocado.Pureed avocado.But that was a year ago,now anak mak dah boleh makan chunky food,byk buah dah dia makan.These fruits are his current fav;oranges,passion fruit,pomegranate
Pomegranate nie sy amalkan makan since pregnantkan muhriz.I guess most of you know about its beauty,buah disebut di dalam Al Quran.Among its good;provides 16% of an adult vit C requirement and rich in fiber,which entirely contained in the edible seeds,so jgn discard the seed.Muhriz kadang telan seed,kadang die buang huhu.

Durian pon suka juga.mmg anak ayah si hantu durian.Mkn durian sambil inspect CD dah kering belum.

Sebelum nie phase suka dragon fruit,avocado and banana.

I've tried making strawberry smoothies before,but anakanda didnot seem to like it.Not sure tak suke strawberry or susu lembu!Maybe campur EBM die nak kot huuu.

Buah ape lagi penah bagi?Ha papaya,apples tue dah tapi kene reject.Don't worry Muhriz,byk lagi fruits for you to explore.Anyway,I'll make sure Muhriz takes a bowl of fruits setiap hari,kalau tak tahu nak offer which one,buka peti then let him decide.Try to avoid Yes/No questions,give your kid a choice instead.

Since hari nie ada pasar malam dan akan pergi ke pasar malam nak cari durian,mari tulis mengenai makanan pasar malam.

Sy dan suami suka ke pasar malam,tapi pasar siang 2 bulan sekali belum tentu hahaha.Tapi dgn muhriz nie tidak lah selalu sgt pergi,kesian pakcik tue kene berpanas.Sebelum sampai atau senang cerita,dari rumah lagi dah decide nak makan apa,so bile sampai,terus pegi gerai sama selalunya,beli dan terus balik. Kalau mood mama ok, mama pegi la cari ikan ke sayur ke.Makanan di pasar malam nie,kalau kami jumpa yg ok mmg tak pandang yg lain dah,takot nak try yg lain hehe dasar tak berani mencuba ;p.

One of our fav is Yong Tau Fu.Yong Tau Fu nie kalau tak sedar diri boleh sampai RM20 percaya atau tidak?Mmg kene percaya!Jadi kene beringat selalu dan muhasabah baru tak terbeliak mata nak membayar.Utk tidak menterbeliakkan mata lagi,kita masak sendiri yo!Senang aje rupanya. Sebab kene prepare dipping sauce die ajo.Hat lain?beli dan rebus dlm soup.Soup tutup mata boleh buat ece ce ce.Ni dah 3rd time buat sampai hubby tak mo dah keh keh.

Soup:

Guna kaki ayam or rangka,letak bawang putih,chicken cube,daun soup,garam sket.

Sauce:

Gula Melaka,sos cili,sos tiram,cuka,kicap manis,kacang goreng dan tumbuk,belacan,cili padi,rasa kan dgn garam,gula,pekat kan dgn tepung jagung.

To serve:

Rebus segala rakan rakan pilihan anda,angkat,letak sauce,tabur bijan goreng.Siap!2 ringgit tujuh ploh sen sajork!

Thought of posting this entry as a wordless post,tapi muhriz tido,so baik daku menulis hihi

An oyster card is a smart travelcard used when traveling with public transport within London.It's more convenient and cheaper than cash tickets.Just like your touch&go,you can always top up your credits and put travel pass in it.Worry not,it got daily price capping,so if you need to make lots of journey in a day,they will never charge you more than the price of a Day Travel pass.You can get an oyster card at all the tube stations ticket window,i think they will ask for a 5quid deposit.When you're done using it,you can always return this card to them,they will refund the deposit and whatever remaining credit you have in it.So kalau nak balik malaysia dah,boleh pegi ke heathrow tube station tue,then refund.But of course a student,an elderly is entitled for more discount.But you have to apply and get an approval for that.

When in London,i stayed in Battersea,just across the River Thames.My apt is facing the Battersea Park(and did i mentioned Prince William once played football in here?).Home to school is about 3 km and the nearest tube station is South Kensington.So i might just walk or take bus.
Walking through the Chelsea neighborhood is always nice but i've got a lazy butt,i chose the easiest way and got myself a weekly bus pass instead.Traveling with tube is something i tried to avoid,bosan tgk dinding jer.And i hate it if i need to change lines and the gate of one another is so far away.Turun naik elevators,kalau elevators rosak?But no hope if it is a long journey,taking a tube is the option.you do not want to sit in the bus for 40 mins when the tube can take you there in merely 15mins.But believe me,the Central and District lines are the slowest and with most interruptions.So hop on the double deckers instead,London has a lot to be seen!

A visit to the zoo and kedai mee udang

Hubby had been wanting to bring muhriz to the zoo since before raya haji,so on the way back from pahang,kami stopped by Zoo Taiping.It was nearly friday prayer,so masuk zoo lepas hubby solat jumaat lah.Tapi kusangka panas rupenya hujan.So lawatan sambil belajar ditunda ke last weekend!

Alhamdulillah,hari yg cerah!Such a beautiful saturday morning!Arrived Taiping around 10am.Just at the right time for animal feeding.They got fed between 10am-12pm.Tapi i berani bagi makan deers je hehe

Nampaknya Muhriz suka.Tahan mata tamau tido.Otherwise kalau die tak suke, jadi macam di Genting hari tue,tak sampai sejam dah tido.Anyway,after 2 hours,we were almost done,tinggal elephants jer belum tgk.Tapi anakanda was so sleepy that he fall asleep on his own.Tertido dlm buggy and without nenen!Hohh itu satu achievement,Muhriz tido tanpa nenen?? =p Mesti penat belajar nie hehe.

There're bears,lions,tigers,crocodiles,giraffe,monkeys.Byk la jugak.Tapi zoo negara pon last pegi dah 20 thn kan,so dah lupa la sebanyak mana haiwan kat situ huuu.

Time for lunch and we headed to the famous Mak Jah Mee Udang in Kuala Sepetang.Not that far from the zoo,about 20 mins drive.And there's signboard everywhere "Mak Jah Mee Udang 3km,2.5km,500m,200m!"No, i'm not joking,senang nak cari kedainya.I had Mee Udang Special,hubby pulak Mee Goreng Special.Both nie RM11/plate.Not bad or shall i say cheap compared to Mee Udang Sg Dua?Tastewise?Sedap utk my tekak!Lagi sedap dari Mee Udang Salwa tapi still tok leh lawan Sg Dua's.Itu tekak sy lah hehe.We will definitely come again,both to the zoo and this kedai mee udang

Being a stay at home mama is not all about changing little one's diapers.Given this opportunity,i have to plan for activities to keep muhriz entertained and busy hik hik,takkan le anak aku dok tgk tv je kerjanya huhu.penat weh layan anak sorang pon.Sy selalu tanye hubby die ade terfikir tak ape mama dan dudu buat kat rumah?Kalau muhriz kene hantar ke babysitter die main ape ye?kene tinggal toys rumah babysitter ker?Hohh mama mmg byk pikir =p

anyway,let me share muhriz's activities here.

1.Playing with toys.Kami suke belikan muhriz toys and we will keep buying them.Mostly are educational toys,ones yg develop skills.Kami rasa itu ialah investment yg bagus.Tapi beli toys byk byk pon won't help if you are not playing with them.Jadi mama selalu join main sama,ride on muhriz pon mama naik same ok,hover dok?

2.Watch kiddie program/cd.Tapi limitkan masa tgk tv.
Yg sy observe,muhriz nie kalau bukak tv,toys tak layan sgt.Tv tutup mmg die main.So sy hanya turn on tv utk certain program shj.Let him watch the program,not the television.Pernah dgr or read somewhere sepatutnya kids under 2 yrs tidak langsung didedahkan dgn tv.Tapi kejam sgt pulak.Kami bagi lah die tgk cartoon,kalau Chuggington tue rasanya seploh kali pasang kot sehari kat laptop nie.Your baby can read tgk due kali sehari jer hahaha ok la tue,sekarang suruh clap,arms up,point to your nose,mouth,semua tahu dah.

3.Reading.
Muhriz loves book,sgt suka.sehari tue mesti ade 4-5 kali reading sessions.It is him who usually initiates it.Die akan ambil buku,tarik tangan mama utk duduk on his small couch and read the book to him :) At this stage,mmg kid suka kan colorful pictures and they are building their vocabs too.So no harm reading the same book few times a day.Muhriz sudah ade more than 20 board books and more to come!kadang2 ayah balik kerja tak sempat duduk pon kene tarik tangan suruh bace buku dah hehe.

4.Plan for supporting and stimulating activities.
Kids are fascinated with almost everything,jadi tidak semestinya main itu dgn toys shj.It can be anything around;plastic containers,baskets etc.kalau muhriz die suke;
-emptying and filling,jadi sy selalu juga put small stuff macam cereal atau beras in one container,let him pour them out into another container
-inserting things in and out.kotak kotak kecil sy tidak buang.contoh die terjumpa kotak mopiko,ambil his Percy dan sumbat dlm kotak,keluarkan,then insert balik hehe.boleh juga bagi card holder dan card yg tak diguna kan.i believe ramai baby suke main card dlm purse kan?
-stacking .nie selalunya mega blocks die lah.
-mimicking my action;mama masak die nak masak,so i gave him periuk dan senduk.mama on phone die sibuk same,so i give him an old unused hp.
- latest one,suke scribble sampai dinding pon kene conteng!=p hoho jgn la muhriz ikut mama yg asik lukis kucing badan gemok kepala kecik.crayon sekotak tinggal sebatang je,sekali lukis,sekali baling patah.

5.Bring him out.
Since outdoor playground jauh dari rumah,kami selalu bawa die to indoor playground.Hubby selalu ajak keluar lepas dinner bawa muhriz main :) tiap tiap petang,saya akan lepaskan die main di porch,meloncat member hahaha habis semut kene penyet

yg selebihnya tue making mess here and there.Well,babies should be allowed to roam and mess.I believe they will learn something.Kesian lah kecil kecil tak boleh bersepah langsung =p But to keep yourself sane,jgn la pick up the mess right after.Clear the area once or twice a day jer.Or confine the play area,so idok ler sakit jiwa sgt.But to tell the truth,my home nie looks like a daycare with 10 kids in it kih kih

Muhriz and the word "NO"

Pantang! Pantang mama or ayah ckp "no".He will instantly pull his face and give his this mulut ikan and in 30 secs,roll over on all four.Sometimes he even purposely hits his head on the floor!And he does this in public too if you are wondering;depan toys store,dlm tesco huhu.

It used to scare and upset me but now i can see they happen less and less.Depends on the situation,i will either attend or ignore him but will never walkaway.I repeat; NEVER walkaway leaving your screaming kids,mommies!They might hit themselves hard enough to cause injuries.

Anyway,here how i handle the show.If he throws a fit because i say "NO", then i just ignore his screams and cries.I will then proceed with something fun like play with his toys,read his book,or turn on the tv.Muhriz will usually pick himself and join in later hehehe,nampak sgt tadi buat buat =p

But if he is having a tantrum out of frustration like not being able to pick up that container from the laundry basket,I will come to rescue.Pick him up on the floor,give him hug then nenen(most of the time!) and tell him that i will help him.As soon as he is ok,i'll help him to accomplish whatever he doesnot manage before and let he try himself.

What if he does this in the mall and there are like 50 people watching?Haha nie confirm la i angkat terus and try to distract him with something else lah.

But in all cases,marah hanya sekali.Once he throws himself on the ground,sudah sudah la marah.Nanti makin teruk.

Alhamdulillah, the drama doesnot last for more than 5 mins most of the time.Not sure how many of you with kids yg buat macam nie but hope this helps. Can't wait for this phase to be over!

hihi dulu ade jugak post pasal muhriz's food,sekarang nan ado ;p
since die dah masuk setahun nie,muhriz byk makan ape yg mama dan ayah die makan,cuma versi kurang garam gula santan dan seangkatan.Did i tell you he is one picky eater?come one point,i was so upset,sgt tension,semua food die reject.mama dari malam dah plan ape nak masak utk kamu.nasib baik teringat this feeding rule; never turn a feeding session into a battle.Jadi mama ikut apa kamu nak;nak makan sendiri?nak mama makan sama?nak makan mama pon boleh

kadang kadang ada hari mama kene masak macam macam.contoh;scramble eggs -rejected,beehon goreng-makan sikit,nasi&soup ayam-makan,Aglio Olio Fussili-buat baling.Takpe,kamu tanak makan,mama makan kan hahaha.So sekarang if we have nasi goreng for dinner,he might have the same thing too,tapi yg tak ada cili padi.tapi kalau muhriz makan chicken porridge,mama dan ayah tak join la hehe.

yg nie die selalu juga makan,pasta with tomato sauce.blend tomatoes+ celery sket.heat up some olive oil,saute garlic till brown,masuk chopped chicken breast(sy suke rebus dulu),then sauce tadi.jgn lupe letak mix herbs sket.

easy peasy eh?yummehh.mama nak?
nie pon selalu makan dah,rice porridge.dulu tak suke bubur.hehe macam macam.

Hari ini mahu mengarut boleh?Blog sendiri kan,lantak.macam lah ramai yg bace hek hek ;p

semlm hubby pulang lambat,730pm baru sampai rumah.kebiasaan dlm 6-630 sudah tiba,jadi 730 dikire lambat lah.anak pulak tak habis tgk upin ipin,640pm terus pengsan,pengsan sampai ke pagi!tak pernah dibuat.Letih ape pon tak sure,tgh hari dah tido,mama pon tido same hihi.
jadi si ayah gigit jari tak dapat main dgn anak.masa keluar pegi kerja masih gigit jari anak masih tido,cium pipi kiri,muhriz golek ke kanan,cium kanan,die golek ke kiri.then it got me thinking,andai kata saya bekerja,akan adakah situasi begini?Harapnya tidak.

Sy sudah memakai title isteri di rumah selama 2 tahun.Bukan tidak mahu bekerja kembali,tetapi masih mencari cari masa yg sesuai.Sesuai umur si anak ditinggalkan.Sy sgt cerewet tentang penjagaan anak,terutamanya keselamatan.Jadi dari saya menggunakan separuh waktu kerja dok call baby carer tanye anak macamana,baik saya jaga sendiri,puas hati.

Saya cukup berterima kasih kepada mereka mereka yang tidak pernah mempersoalkan keputusan saya utk menjadi ibu di rumah.saya hormat kamu,kamu hormat saya.tetapi masih ade juga yg tidak jemu jemu asik bertanya.Tidak serik kata orang heh. "Bila nak kerja semula?" eiii sakit telinga.Nak saja sy jawab
"tanak kerja boleh?" atau
"saya nak besarkan anak sendiri,tanak indon jagakan" atau jawapan lebih kerek
"saya ade degree dari US,masters dari imperial college london,penah jadi design engineer selama 3 tahun,kalau nak kerja bila bila pon boleh!"

tapi jawapan khayalan je tue.hakikatnya,sudah 2 tahun on hiatus,mesti market value ku sudah jatuh.Hakikatnya saya tidak berani berkata begitu.Risau org berkecil hati tetapi org tidak pernah risau hati saya kecil.tapi takpa,jawapan itu sentiasa tersedia utk mereka mereka itu hek hek.

ini kerja lama yg ditinggalkan.tajuk kerja;CPU Design Engineer.tidak glamour sedikit pon,pakai baju busuk je pegi kerja.nasib baik saya mandi.kerja yg disukai,gaji yg puas hati.Tetapi utk kembali tidak rasanya,terlalu sibuk.
hubby pernah bertanya,aik bersih shj meja,tak ade paper work ke?

Rambut muhriz banyak,spiky dan cepat panjang-ikut hubby,haluih dan agak keperangan-ikut mama.Ini dah 4 kali botakkan kepala budak kecik nie.sendiri potong.Hubby tukang potong,mama jadi clown.So far sgt behave mase potong rambut,umpan toys barang satu dua.tapi dah besar nie just bagi je die pegang rambut yg kene potong tue,dok telek la rambut tue setengah jam.Amazed dgn rambut sendiri agaknya.Kalau potong kat kedai confirm ade yg berguling nanti.sayang budak botak mama hek hek

My dada is in Hannover since Monday and i think i've started to miss him.Before leaving,he told me to be good and listen to mama.Well dada,i do listen to her until hehe.. last nite!

It felt so different not having you around.Like something is missing.There's no you to sit on while watching upin ipin.No You to read our fav book before bedtime.No you next to me on bed.No You to carry me around.Where are you dada?Kenapa pegi work tak balik lagi nie.

But i didnot know how to tell mama.I kept repeating this " ataaa ataa mama ataaa".But to my frustation,mama didnot seem to get it!So i threw fits,maybe you could appear behind the door after hearing my scream.I screamed,threw myself on the floor and kicked,mama picked me up and offered me toys,nenen,food,turned on pororo my fav.But I didnot want those things,i just want you.I heard her telling tokma she had no idea what else to do to distract and calm me down.

Ma ma ma ataaa ataa ataaaa!!!Ehemm well,i meant to say "i want my dada!" Mama still didnot get it,she kept offering me toys instead so..........i bang my head on mama's face!I looked at mama,her lips were bleeding.Did it hurt mama?I'm sorry!

Mama passed me over to tok ma and she went to the bathroom.When she came back,there was no more blood and she told me it's time for bed. Light was turn off,i heard mama recite ayat ul Qursi then she kissed me on cheeks and tell me she loves me no matter what,like she always does. Then i heard no more from her,did she fall asleep?was she upset with me? Sorry mama,but dada,can you come back quick?I donot want gift,all i want is you!
Nvm,it's dark,no one would see me rolling on the floor so i counted the sheep,1..2....................987.......zzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Muhriz has been on disposable diapers since saturday,tak suke betul tapi CD basuh hari nie,lagi 3 days baru kering.At this time,i wish for a dryer.Dulu bukan main tak suke guna dryer,asik complain baju masuk dryer shrink la,keronyok seribu la.Leceh nak cari coins la.Kat Indiana,sekali guna dryer letak 2 Quarters,kat DE 1 Euro,rumah London ade washer/dryer sendiri tapi dryer tue 3 jam pon tak kering2 baju hek hek dryer kodi.Sekarang tak ada dryer baju tak kering,bising pulak ;p Eh jap kalau dulu,kasut sekolah tak kering,letak belakang peti,eh maybe i can do the same with his CDs.

Muhriz tgh demam sebenarnya.I'm not sure whether he got that from his dada atau demam rindu tido bawah ketiak dada atau teething fever.All 4 first molars coming out at the same time.It's sure hurt,ouch!Dont worry baby,mama will always be there for you,dukung tawaf rumah yeahh hehe.

And hubby,demam dan batuk right before leaving.Macam macam.
Stay warm over there abang,we miss you!

I have to start packing.Hubby's stuff for his Hannover trip,muhriz's and my own barang2 utk melepak di rumah tok ma.Since Muhriz dah jadi baby besar nie,makin kurang dah barang.We used to angkut barang die macam nak pindah rumah,dgn rocker pon bawak balik hahaha punya lah tak nak guna buai tak nak angkut sane sini tapi angkut rocker pulak =p owh (buai,spacifer,walker tue another entry).

Anyway,i don't know how many of you have travelled via Jln Grik-Jeli.Yes,that winding mountainous road.Jalan tue lah kami lalu balik my kota bharu since 2006.Sesiapa yg pernah lalu mesti notice sign board yg jarang jumpa di tempat lain(ke tak ade?);Hati hati,Gajah Berkeliaran.Dan saya pernah terserempak 2 kali :) Nak terlanggar babi hutan sekali.Alhamdulillah tak jadi apa2.So,dgn anakanda saya yg tak reti nak duduk diam nie,of course we have to plan our journey,tak boleh la rasa nak gerak pukul berapa main jalan.

3 things about Muhriz
a.He hates long hours in the car(baby mane tak kan?)
b.He hates to travel in dark
c.He is not the type of baby yg masuk kerete terus dozz off.He will eventually tapi sometimes takes 3 hours baru nak tido (nak sampai dah!)

utk kesejahteraan isi isi kereta we will make sure
1.Bergerak seawal pagi mungkin.Before subuh selalunya by 5am dah jalan.Anakanda bgn sudah halfway through.

2.If he starts to get restless,find a nearest RA,biar anak mak bertenang.Nak main ke,mandi ke makan ke,let him.kadang2 kat rest area sampai sejam!Btw R&R Jln Grik-Jeli nie is nothing like PLUS's,jgn expect ade gerai buah or ade KFC tgh2 hutan ni hikhik.Just expect a basic kawasan rehat.Rest area pon ade 4 jer and the distance between one another is about 30-40 mis drive;1.Grik 2.Banding(if you want to use the loo,pls jgn pegi dkt jeti,so yuckyy!Pegi toilet Rainforest Belum Resort instead 3.Puncak Titiwangsa 4.Jeli

3.Bring food and toys,lots of food and toys.Selalunya kami angkut sebakul toys haha.Makanan pulak,dari breakfast to lunch to snack aa hihi amik,by the time sampai rumah tokma dah jadi tong sampah dah kereta hubby hek hek.Food mmg saya bawa bekal sebolehnya tak beli.

4.Bring a big torchlight along.In case anakanda terjaga hari masih gelap(back to point b.my son hates travelling in dark).

So hubby spent 2 weeks in Hannover,seminggu lepas raya baru balik.Balik dari DE,konon nak reward anakanda dia yg balik-balik tgk sudah boleh berlari,hubby ajak pegi Genting,x sampai half a day trip je.Ingatkan budak Muhriz nie sukak,tapi tgk mukak sajak sudah tau,muka penuh kebosanan kih kih.Arrived there 12pm,pukul 4 sudah balik sabar jer lah.Out of 8 rides,rasanya he only enjoyed one ride,just that one ride!Hohh penat panjat Genting.Rides lain dia tunjuk muka duploh sen;naik kete Audi kat rumah lagi bagus!=p

1.monorail,mukak sukak lagihalfway through udah bosan.ye rambut anak mak mohawk semulajadi ya
2.Rio float.Nampak dari bawah nak naik.Bila naik nak turun adeii.
.3Ferris wheel **yawn** nenen lagi sedap
4.Reindeer cruiser
5.Ha,ini saya sukak mama.saya nak naik seploh kali!! And he kid you not!5 kali naik ok.since kalau ayah naik tentu roboh train kecik nie,mama la mangsa nya sob sob sob.

6.Carousel.Mula-mulanya macam suka walau terpaksa kes kes.

tetapi hanya harapan palsu.selepas 2 round gini pulak duduknya.Tak macho la naik ride nie mama

My weekend was pretty good.
I always think weekends are meant for rest,family matter and to sleep for longer hours wee hoo!Kalau weekdays kene bgn awal hubby nak pergi keje tapi lepas tue boleh join Muhriz tido semula la ngeh ngeh.

Saturday was a lazy day.Went nowhere else apart from grocery shopping.
Sunday morning started late.DH dan anaknya have lots of things in common;muka bolat,dahi luas lagii dua nie suke bgn lambat!Tgk ni 1030am masih tido!!
So after Asar,ajak hubby keluar;to Laksa Kak Su,Kuala Perlis.My first time here.Love this laksa,kuah pekat.But A Staq to K Perlis is like 40km away.Laksa Teluk Kuchai ceq tak berapa gemar pulak.mama nie,org nak main die ajak makan pulak ;p
Ingat kan pekena laksa kul 6ptg,dinner tak mau dah.Tapi habis jugak nie hiks hiks
This weekend we will be in my hometown,Kota Bharu tercinta.Hubby's leaving for Hannover again,so 2 beranak kene tinggal dgn tokma,tok wan dan dr poksu.Nasib baik still bekerja dgn Muhriz =p,hubby pegi outstation,mama dgn muhriz boleh kejar ayam kat kg =p

Hubby was not very happy with comments he's been getting about his err weight gain =p
Sure,exercising is a nice strategy for losing weight but it will go down the drain if you donot control you food intake.So hubby decided to do 2 things
1.Cut his meal portion
2.Skip at least twice a day
He should thank me for the second idea.He never ever skips before hahaha girls jer skip katenya.Tapi sekarang eksen nak jadi Rocky nak buat criss cross pulak.So hubby skips twice a day sekarang;before morning shower,selepas pulang dari kerja.We thought skipping is an excellent choice because it is as effective as other aerobic exercise;it improves your heart rate, promote fat loss, improve flexibility and co-ordination and balance and it also improves muscle tone and the best reason to skip is because it is cheap!All you need is just a skip rope and you can get one for less than RM10.We used to have sets of dumb bells and a sit up chair tapi lepas tue simpan belakang pintu buat tempat labah labah membiak ;p

So go abg,you can do it!

Jadual for a stay at home mama

Tajuk tak boleh blah.Dok rumah pon ade schedule ka?
Owh well,i have!When you held a paying job,you have responsibilities that have to be completed,in a timely manner,right?But when you stay at home,you are the boss.The work has no beginning and ending and there is no one to tell you what to do.

So it is very very easy to just sit around in pyjamas and play computer all morning.And before you know it,it is already noon!hahaha!! Breakfast dishes were still in the sink and there was nothing for lunch.Panick attacked!Mula lah nak call meal delivery or in my case,i would call hubby to send me some lunch.Bertuah nye bini!

Anyway,that was me few months back=p.Now,i am proud to say that my home is maintaned on schedule.When hubby got home from work,there's alwayssomething to eat on the table and dinner is halfway if not already done.
This is roughly a guide of what i should do and i break down the chores to what needed to be done daily and weekly.

daily: cook,do the dishes,laundry,mop floors,clean up muhriz play area,wipe the stove,kitchen counters and dining table
twice a week: wipe and clean Muhriz's toys,change everyone's towel
weekly: change bedsheet,clean the bathroom,pick an area and clear it.

Yerp i mop the floor every morning sebab Muhriz sekarang is into throwing food on the floor,pick it up and eat it!!Nak pengsan tgk!

It is very important to start the morning right so that you can prepare for the day.So my morning routine is sth like this
1.Wake up,solat
2.Pick up everything on floor(toys are everywhere!)
3.Do the dish and prepare breakfast
4.Mop the floor,laundry
5.Have breakfast while fbing,checking emails and blogging!

If the first 4 things donot happen before Muhriz wakes up,i will feel err a bit............ uneasy.Why?Because:
1)It is not possible to ask my son to sit still and watch me mop the floor or do something else.Muhriz loves attention and hates to be left alone.He won't sit or play or even watch tv by himself.yer mmg anak kangaroo budak ini manja kededek hehe.
2)I donot want to clown around the house;one minute i'm reading a book or playing blocks with Muhriz,another minute i'm in the kitchen doing the dishes.Kalau boleh once he's up,mama jage muhriz je

Huhu before Muhriz,i was a housewife for almost a year and the schedule i had then was thrown away once he arrived.Tonggang terbalik rumah awal2 dulu,kadang tak sempat masak langsung,lunch dgn biscuits jer!

Anyway,I don't have a general schedule on weekends aside from cooking,napping and outing.Besides hubby is around to look after Muhriz,so it's more flexible and relax.
Eh ironing takdak dlm schedule.Did i mention i hate it??Double yuck!
Can't imagine how's the schedule looks like if i were.....a working mama!Hahaha

Baby naming

I was reading through this parenting website when i came across an article over baby name regrets.Do you know that 1 in 10 parents wish they could rename their babies?So careful if you're pondering for a name for your little one.

I was so close to fall into the group.Let me tell you a secret,i love the name Mikael ever since i came across it,and that was years before i got pregnant.I was so determine to name our first baby boy "Mikael" ever since hubby told me that his friend by the same name-Michael(Germans pronoun it as Mi-kha-el) was going to join him for a projectwork in Copenhagen.So when we knew i was carrying a boy,i suggested the name to hubby and he loved it too.We agreed that Mikael was our first reference.Since kitorang dah tak balik Malaysia for more than 1 year masa tue,little that we knew Mikael was creeping up the popular name chart.

Hmm i was not really fancy about that as i was afraid it would become trendy and my boy could end up one in ten in his class;
Cikgu:Which Mikael?Ada seploh Mikael ni.
Then he will answer: Saya Mikael Bin M Harith cikgu!

owh tidakkkk!teringat mak ngah hubby (a kindy teacher in Jerantut,Pahang) cerita,ade a few Daniel/Danish and even Daniel Danish in her class,so ade yg dipanggil Daniel kurus!

So we looked up for other name.Our baby naming rule is really quite simple;
1)It must has a good if not special meaning so the admirable qualities shall be pass to him insyaAllah:)
2)It has to be less common,does not necessarily unique.
3)It is a short and single name ,easy to spell and pronounce.No middle name.
We want the baby to be called by his full name.Kenapa tak nak nama panjang?Sebab mama punya nama sudah panjang,kalau nak travel,swipe passport sure tak lepas,officer kene key in,kalau time exam jenuh nak isi.Nevertheless, i love my name.Pernah jumpa another WAN SALMIZAINI?tak dak kan?Kat Intel dulu org panggil WAN,kat university/high school/kawan2 panggil AMI,cikgu sekolah menengah panggil ZAINI ;p

Anyway,those babies with middle names,if their first names end up being too common, they have the option of using one of their others.But since we prefer none,Mikael was crossed out from the list.
Hubby then picked Muhriz (not MuKhriz).Muhriz means a winner,an earner.And i instantly fell in love with it.He is growing fine with it.Truth be told,i can't imagine Muhriz with any other name hik hik

But again,if you do decide to stick with a popular name,it's your choice.Peace ^ ^

Few weeks ago,nampak status kawan saying he's coming back from UK.Leaving in 2 days kot.Sebagai wanita yang waras,otak saya ligat jer pikir nak pesan ape yg senang beliau cari dan bawa pulang.Hik hik.
Rasa nak sth from cathkidston,a bag lah to be exact. I think i blogged before(in 2009 kot) that i love almost everything from cathkidston.Jalan passed the store every day nak ke college mau tak suke hehe.Alamak,rindu bus 345,49. Gave him 2 options: Turned out,Selfridges ran out yg polka dots,so i got my chelsea roses.Tenkiu tenkui. Hmm tapi rasa nak buat babybag Muhriz pulak.Baby bag sekarang yg nie.Well,it's not really a babybag but since there's no bottles to be carried around,this one works just fine.

Muhriz is into books these days,especially those with sounds and texture to touch or pieces to play with.And i am glad we made it to the book sale last weekend.Kalau tak botak mak.Totally worth it.RM77 for all of these,can you believe it?Mostly priced at RM6/book.But we went on the first day,weekend nie dah tak tau lah tinggal buku ape lagi kan.Next year nak dtg as soon as it opens hehe.

Mee kari ketam

Saya ialah penggemar udang dan ketam,tetapi tidak mentarang.Hari minggu lepas saya dan kakak kebetulan di UiTM Shah Alam,telah singgah di Kedai Mee Ketam berdekatan UniSEL untuk mencuba Mee Kari Ketam yg disebut dlm Jalan Jalan Cari Makan TV3.Kedainya mmg amat senang dijumpa tidak perlu GPS tolong carikan.
Nak makan di situ bersama putera muhriz tidak sesuai rasanya,mahu bersilat dgn ketam lagi,dgn muhriz lagi.Tambahan pula ade berita baby terkena soup panas ketika dining out bersama keluarga kan,buat saya lagi risau.Jadi kami pesan for to go.Harganya saya rasa murah,RM8 utk mee kari bersama seekor ketam.Sgt oklah kan since ketam fresh kat pasar pon seekor sekurangnya RM4.
Jadi kami pulang bawa 2 bungkus mee.4 org tukang rasa dan makan,satu bungkus sahaja yg habis,lagi sebungkus hanya ketam di makan.Kenapa begitu?Kerana kami menjangkakan rasanya harus lah more or less seperti mee udang sungai 2,kuah mee tersebut mesti lah berasa udang atau di dalam kes ini,kuah rasa ketam lah kan?Tetapi yg kami rasai,mee kari yg tersebut hanya lah mee kari biasa yang diletakkan ketam.Meehon soup pon begitu.Tetapi mungkin juga tekak kami ni yg bermasalah,sebab nampak kedai tue penuh saje,kene tunggu table kosong lagi.Jadi adakah masalah anak tekak saya dan keluarga saya?Mungkin lah kan.
Kerana tidak puas hati,kelmarin makan ketam lagi.Ketam masak lemak cili padi dgn nenas pulak.Saya bukan lah pandai masak,tetapi hubby ckp ini better dari mee ketam tempoh hari hek hek,puji ade makna tue.Semua org ade citarasa sendiri kan,ada je kot yg suka mee kari tersebut.Same lah jugaknye dgn macarons,i don't give a damn thing about it.Kecil,mahal dan sgt manis,so what?hihi jangan marah!

When mama gets angry :(

Being a mama is a tough job,tougher than being a design engineer.
Yesterday was one of my so called "bad" days.Muhriz usually naps 2 times a day,tapi semlm,die skipped the 2nd nap and forced himself to stay awake for more than 7 hrs! At 10pm he was still with us in the living room but i know he was tired.He would simply cry if we didnot allow him something and became fuss over every single thing. Nak jadi mak singa dah mama nie as I had use up all energy to coax him for the last few hours!
11pm and that's it!Jom tido.Brought Muhriz to bed,nursed him but still he refused to sleepand cried instead!I got really fed up as i was really tired.Checked his CD,kering lagi but i decided to change anyway.Bukak CD je,wee wee atas mama.Habis mattress dgn mama sekali.Hubby bawak muhriz to the toilet to wash up,mama pon pegi sekali.Sekali die nak masuk dlm bath tub main air pulak siap nak splish splash kat mama. That made me even angrier! :(
So i lost my cool and said something i wish i hadnot!Mmg menyesal sgt2 to have said that,gosh Muhriz is only 14 months :( But before you could think of something yg amat teruk,it was actually something like "mama pukul nanti!!" Tapi version lagi garang!
But of course lah a 14 mths old couldnot understand it,he just looked at me,puzzled and kept playing with the water.I decided to cool down,let hubby handled him.But few mins later,i heard him crying,hubby kate terhantuk kepala sikit,sikit jer tapi org dah mengantok kan,menangis satu kampung dengar.He asked for me,tak nak dgn hubby.So i picked him up,dressed and nursed him to sleep.
It was easy to break down in tears watching how innocent my baby looked while asleep and thinking how upsetting my behavior was just then. I know hubby was upset with me for saying that too.Sorry baby,mama didnot mean to scold you.I regret it how i got angry over you.I pray to Allah for His guidance to go through this motherhood,to be more patient,more understanding and more loving.
I made a promise;If i were to lose my temper next time,i should be mad at myself not the baby.I need to remind myself that my baby boy still doesnot really know.I can't expect him to understand that i want him to go to bed because i am tired or have other things to do.If he is tired,he would be going to sleep.If he is hungry,he would be asking for nenen.I just can't force him.

Forgive me,baby.I really do not wish to be angry at you.

Alhamdulillah Muhriz turned 14 months last thursday.tak sempat nak blog,busy melawat kawasan ahahaha.

-sudah boleh berjalan dgn laju main kejar kejar dgn mama.tak dpt tangkap kamu menangis
-sudah pandai ckp nakk,bird(then point to the sky),semua bende kecil dan kunin ialah duck
-tak boleh kene marah!nanti mula la buat mulut ikan,lalu berguling atas lantai!package lengkap buat mama tutup muka kat shopping mall
-sudah pandai bace buku dan juga koyak buku ;p
-suke memanjat.hari tidak baik salah landing,dpt la parut hero macam nie
-suke sgt pakai kasut tapi tak suke pakai socks.pantang nampak kasut nak pakai.dlm rumah pon.nak jadi org german celup macam dada ke sayang?hek hek
-suke nak kawan,tapi so far nampak nak kawan dgn boys je.
-pantang nampak playground adoii.dgn mak pak sekali berpeluh ketiak jaga budak nie
-suka cats.ini penyakit keturunan.-suka nasi ayam dan pulut juga.mama used to be very strict dgn diet kamu.tiada garam dan gula.Msg apatah lagi.tapi kamu susah sgt mahu makan.satu pagi mama masak 3 bende pon kamu tolak tepi.In 3 months naiknya 0.5kg sahaja.risau tak tido malam mama.di suatu hari, kamu nampak mama lunch nasi ayam kamu nak sama,mama pon dgn terpaksa hati bagi.tapi idak la mama bagi kamu mkn curry.soup dan nasi ayam ok le.tomyam tak dpt la deknon.muhriz sgt tidak suka makanan manis.sgt amat tak suka sampai boleh muntah.terima kasih kepada susu ibu yg kurang gula tak payah nak heboh2 macam susu lembu kat tv less sugar ke sugar free ker.cuba bagi kueh akok,confirm die muntah hek hek.tak suke juice jugak hihi.suke air kosong jer.fruits pula paling suka dragon fruit dan mango.

So mari ke Andalucia hari ini.I instantly fall in love with Spain after our visit to Barcelona.The people,the weather,the ambiance,the scenery.And i was so looking forward to travel to Spain again.Hubby's family was with us in DE for 2 weeks,jadi masa yg baik utk rombongan cik kiah.Moreover,i was 29 weeks along at that time,risau juga kalau travel jauh2 berdua je kan?Alhamdulillah,diberi kesihatan yg baik sepanjang mengandungkan Muhriz.Boleh travel jauh2,naik flight few hours pon ok :)

So,we took an Easyjet flight from London Luton Airport.Malaga was 2 hrs away from London.The flight was delayed for 3 hrs so we arrived Malaga Airport at 1am instead!Luckily the car rental company(Europcar) waited for us(with extra charge but can be claimed with the airlines).It took us no more than 20 mins to pick up our pre booked VW Tauran.Figured out renting a car and apartment were the best option since there were 6 of us.Andalucia have few exciting cities to explore and our trip was like this Malaga-Granada-Cordoba-Sevilla-Malaga.

Malaga sits on the Mediterranean coastline.Jadi though it was scorching hot summer,the sea breeze brought down the temperature.Forgive me as i've already forgotten the names of these attractions hehe.But the historical sites are mostly Moorish ruins;fortress,castle.

Malaga is the birthplace for Picaso but we skip the museum visit tapi sibuk pergi ke pasar!Buah buahan spain sgt sedap tahu tak?next day sudah ke Alhambra,Granada,i save that for the next post.

Anyway,few notes for preggy mommies yg wish to travel by air:
-inform your gynae and ask her if you are fit to travel
-get an OK letter from your gynae (you might be asked for it during check in/boarding if you check in online)
-check the airlines policy tapi selalunye boleh fly up to 36 weeks(28 weeks and up kene ada support letter dari dr)
-move your legs regularly or just walk around to promote blood circulation(tapi jgn selalu sgt nanti org ingat kite restless nak beranak hiks)
-seat close to the aisle.u might need to use the loo more than everybody else
-minum air and have snacks ready

Yes,I am addicted to Muhriz.Ever since we have him,i wrote about nothing else but him.So this is another entry dedicated to you,my baby.Hopefully bila besar nanti kamu boleh baca hehe.

Hubby and i have many plans for Muhriz:
1.to raise him at home at least for the first year-which i have already talked in the previous entry
2.to breastfeed him at least until he turns 2-syukur i never have problems with my milk supply.
3.to go with cloth instead of disposable diapers-i will blog about this later
4.to carry/wear him in the carrier
5.no pacifier or buai-hurray!

This entry is about no 4.We thought a baby carrier is as important as other stuff that has to be bought when a little person arrives,especially if he is the first one to enters the family.From online reviews,it seems that Baby Bjorn tops the others for its durability and comfortness,jadi saya pon nak satu!

I love Muhriz's Quinny Buzz. But because of its size,yg consume half of the bontot kereta,buggy nie mmg kene tinggal kalau balik kampung or pegi trip mana2 yg jauh(mama suke angkut barang macam nak pindah rumah) or kalau i keluar berdua dgn Muhriz,mmg i tak akan bawak ler buggy nie.It's 10kg i tell you,size nak sama besar dgn mama =p.So we just use it for weekend outing with hubby.

Tapi takpe(sebut macam iklan Dutch Lady!),kami bawa Baby Bjorn carrier ke mana2.It is one thing we can't leave the home without.BB nie mmg kami letak dlm kereta.And muhriz is carried in it ke pasar,pasar malam,hypermarket,mall,mana2 lah yg agak2 tak sesuai angkut buggy kedabak die tue.I have been dreaming to wear my baby in sling lah,pouch lah,but with my petite size,rasa tak balance dukung budak nie lama lama hehe.And since dah beli BabyBjorn nie,rasa membazir pulak kalau beli another carrier(yer,bende nie mmg tak cheapo!).So we just go with it tapi adjust punya adjust to the smallest possible setting pon,masih agak loose dan besar dgn saya,mmg dasar ikan bilis hihi.It works on hubby,so hubby does the job,wearing his son here and there.Saya suke la,boleh lenggang mak limah,plus nampak hubby so fatherly ahahaha ayat cover tamau dukung anak!

Car seat pertama muhriz ialah Maxi Cosi CabrioFix.Setelah membuat survey dan math sana sini,hubby setuju utk membeli this one dan owh menengok kan harganya RM800 di Malaysia,nasib baik kami sempat membeli semasa masih di Deutschland!
Kenapa saya sgt berminat dgn Maxi Cosi?i love the idea that it can connect to the pushchair,jadi kalau baby tido,there is no need to switch him from the car seat to the push chair seat and vice versa.Tak kacau tido senang cerita :) So Maxi Cosi Muhriz nie team up very well with his Quinny Buzz for the first 8 months.

mula menunjuk kan tanda2 tidak suka kerusi comel ini.

Ideally this car seat boleh digunakan sehingga 12 months.tetapi Muhriz nie,once he could sit on his own,sudah tidak mahu duduk di dalam seat ini lah.We believe he felt uncomfortable lying on his back all the time and want to sit up right.Jadi bermula lah pencarian car seat baru,nasib baik ade kawan dari Deutschland mahu pulang ke Malaysia,jadi kami pon berpesan pesanan,dpt lah seketul Roemer King atau di UK dan Malaysia dikenali sebagai Britax.Walaupon shipping cost menelan Euro60,tapi masih murah dibandingkan dgn harga disini.Suka lah si anakanda dapat duduk macam org besar.Selama berbulan bulan,kalau kami balik kampung,kami akan angkut kedua dua car seats hahaha.Kalau anak asleep,letakkan beliau di dlm maxi cosi,kalau awake,ikat die di dalam Roemer nie.Tetapi lama kelamaan,si anak sudah semakin besar,kalau beliau tido sekalipon,ikatkan saja di dlm Roemer nie atau tido tergolek di seat belakang mama letak toto(yer,mmg tidak selamat,jgn tiru!) atau tido mama dukung sambil nenen(pon tidak selamat!)!Roemer ini boleh la recline,tapi nak baring dah tak dpt lah.Dgn itu,tamatlah perkhidmatan Maxi Cosi secara rasminya.Saya sudah membersihkan seat tersebut dan sedia utk disimpan utk anak2 lain kemudian hari pula.

Hubby brought back some stuff rom his business trip to Germany hari tue.Dpt la pesan butterbrezel kegemaranku.Dulu kalau nak travel especially nye,sambil tunggu bahn(train) di Hauptbahnhof(Railway Station),mesti beli brezel dgn coffee utk breakfast!tapi kalau ade jual nasi lemak confirm la saya beli nasi lemak sambal kerang hehe.

Ini hadiah utama.One Touch Culinare Can Opener.Saya ade pengakuan.saya sungguh malas membuka tin.Walau sudah 2 can opener dibeli dlm masa 6 bulan ini,saya masih lagi menyuruh hubby melakukan kerja ini dan sanggup menunggu beliau pulang dari kerja utk melakukannye.lantaran tidak tahan kemalasan si isteri,beliau dgn rela hati membeli bende ini dan saya dgn senang hati membuka tin tanpa byk soal,sekali tekan dah siap,i like!siap bertanya jiran kalau2 ada tin utk dibuka?katenye bende alah ini was selected as one of the coolest product in 2010 by Business Week.mesti yg select tue malas nak buka tin macam saya

Hadiah ke 2.WMF grill pan,terima kasih suami.suami membeli dgn rela hati jugak kerana beliau tidak tahan dgn isterinya yg selalu memberi alasan malas menggrill ayam.Ya beliau bukan penasi tapi pengayam.setelah pulang ke malaysia semenjak setahun lepas,beliau tidak lagi merasa grilled chicken isterinya.Isterinya memberi alasan De Longhi electric grill itu sgt besar utk memasak 2 ketul ayam,membasuh nye juga leceh.jadi dgn wujudnya grillpan ini,isteri tiada alasan lagi kecuali tido lagi sedap dari grill ayam.TEFAL Frying pan tue hadiah saguhati kalah acara siapa boleh pakaikan diapers anak dgn tangan kiri tutup mata kanan.Ni la butterbrezel yg mama minta.lenyek pon sodap lagi.klau ckp tak sedap kang ade org marah penat hangkut dgn hati hati dari Frankfurt Flughafen
Utk anakanda tersayang.Duit raya dlm Euro tidak perlu dinyatakan jumlah,winter jacket utk winter trip yg tak jadi,buku utk kamu dan mama belajar.mama name je amik german sampai level 5 tapi ckp german macam siam hehe.

i was flipping through the folder,ternampak folder barcelona nie.
Went there in winter 2009,after i completed my MSc.I love Barcelona,and dying to go back there.Everytime DH asked me which Euro trip i love most,the answer will be the same(for now lah)hehe.And there's another reason why do i heart the trip so much;it was our conceptionmoon hahaha.Well,sort of.I was trying to get pregnant months before that.With the thesis writing going on,stress dohhh.So DH decided it was best for us to go for a short getaway.It was freezing cold in Deutschland at that time,so we chose a warmer city and Barcelona it was.Timing mmg kene,about 2 weeks after my period,alhamdulillah semuanya dgn izin Allah.Hubby cakap pasal tue la Muhriz has brown and goldish hair,made in Barca,baked in Augsburg kekeke.

When i was expecting,the top thing on the list hubby and i was deciding was whether or not i should continue working.Of course the decision is clearly for me to be a stay at home mama and raise the baby at home.

This decision of living on one income for us was not fairly easy.But we have been preparing for it ever since we got married 4 years before,if we werenot,could you figure how did we ever got married when we were still 23?When hubby was still studying and i just started my first job 6 mths earlier?We are so proud that the wedding itself,though nothing grand,was minimally funded by both parents.The answer was simple,when other guys chose to get new gadgets from the store,hubby sticked to his old HTC sampai lunyai.And when other girls have lines of designer bags,i decided to have just a PRADA and a FENDI hahaha tgk org lain pakai nangis jer la.

The deciding factor that come into play was we donot want some one else to raise our baby,at least for the first year of his life. Hubby and i agree that growing him at home is the best and safest instead of sending him to a daycare.You know how fragile a baby below the age of 1 kan?And we want to cherish the time when muhriz is still young.I believe all parents want the same too;to be able watch the child grow up each and every single min and to be the first who witness the little one's new milestone.And what's with all the not-so nice story about the careless and some are even heartless babysitters these days.Mmg risau nak tinggalkan.When Muhriz was younger,he was not an easy baby.He wanted to be held all the time and didnot want to be left alone,he needed 30 mins of rocking and lullabying but slept for only 15mins hehe.Cooking was almost impossible unless while he was taking that 15mins nap.Otherwise just forget it,call hubby to send lunch home or heat up some water,makan lah mee maggi!I was and still glad he didnot need to be cared by somebody else as i fear his carer akan naik angin asik kene makan maggi.i myself pon sometimes stressed up sorang2.Owh this situation might be different for you out there,especially if you have relatives to help looking after your baby while you are away.

Decision was done but can we afford it?Giving up a salary is surely seemeed hard to do.Tapi gaji 5kilo tidak semestinya bawa pulang semuanya bukan?Do the math as you might not be giving up as much money you think. Consider the cost of a babysitter,fuel, eating out, and other work related expenses.Of course when you earn more,you want to buy more expensive things,rumah lagi besar,kereta lagi besar,mortage bertambah.Wait a sec,did i mentioned i'm going to stay home forever?Tidak kan?This is just my temporary arrangement.Of course i want a home of my own,a bigger car,etc too but anak saya baru setahun,i believe he needs my love and attention more than sebuah rumah.

So we learn to live with less income,but we are happy with better quality of living.There's always home made food,baju bersih even not folded,lantai sentiasa ber mop.ala ala keluarga di rumah kecil tapi bahagia huhu.Back then when i was working,even there were just me and hubby,rumah macam kene pukul ribut,dinner tok sah ckp mmg mostly order kedai siam fav tue.Even i went back at 530pm on most day,badan sudah flat letih!Imagine if there were Muhriz yg nak dukung jer hehe.So i salute all working mommies,it puzzles me on how do you manage your routine!

So the 1 year period has passed and my little one,despite masih suke mengempeng dan sudah bagi mama masak tapi i have to give him another set of periuk and senduk,sudah pandai mix around with other kids,sudah makin friendly.Kurang kerisauan if i were to leave him to a carer.So is it the right time to return to the work force?Ok ke to leave him?Ok ke tak ok?But what if the carer is not loving?Is impatient suka marah marah?How to find a trustable one?How to know if she will feed muhriz well and won't leave him unattended?Tak akan pukul?Tak kasi ubat batuk?Should i get a maid and install a CCTV?But i am not comfortable to have a stranger in our home,nor is hubby.Get a babysitter to come to my home and leave as i get back from work?Is that the best option?Or just go on with my online business yg actually cukup to afford nafsu shopping saya?Uiks belum masuk keje sudah nak pengsan!

muhriz is still sleeping,so boleh update!hehe whoever thinks a stay at home mama boleh online suka hati is so damn wrong.ok maybe kalau baby dah besar sket boleh kot.but in my case,my anak tgh excited dpt kaki,one min die tgh tv,another min tgh panjat coffee table or selongkar dapor!ha nak sgt anak jantan kan?kekeke.so once he's wide awake,i have to give my full attention to him.
kalau i nak guna laptop nie pulak,die pon mau jugak!i used to place this laptop on a small table,die pegi tolak laptop jatuh,nasib baik bernyawa lagi laptop nie(ok hubby,i lied to you,honey ckp he attempted to push your laptop je kan,actually mmg die tolak jatuh pon!=p).now i kene letak laptop on the floor,tapi nanti budak kecik tue pijak2 keyboard pulak,ade je idea die hehe.

ok here are some raya photos.as i mentioned earlier,hubby flew to Hannover 3 hari before raya.so muhriz dan mama raya dgn family jer lah.alhamdulillah muhriz dpt byk duit raya,tenkiu uncles and aunties2 muaah muaahh.

2 weeks kene tinggal,hubby balik muhriz dah boleh jalan laju!and within that 2 weeks,rasanya my little boy dah improve his social skill,dah jadi friendly,tidak la org nak amik asik merengek or i want nobody else but mama!hohh kalau nak mama saje tak dpt le kamu naik moto pusing kampung kan?mama mane pandai bawak motonye hehe.

we went back to kota bharu on thursday the 25th.started the journey at 7am,a bit late than selalunya.selalunye kitorang gerak around 5am,latest by 6am.muhriz nie bile jalan jauh,1 hr tak keluar kereta die jadi restless,so kene la gerak when he's still sleeping.at least by the time he wakes up,dah half way if not almost sampai.besides toys sebakul,i will make sure ade food for him.his fav ape lagi,nasi or pasta.cookies semua tak mkn,kerepek or keropok mkn jugak la.mmg tekak melayu despite mama pregnantkan kamu di Deutschland sana hahaha.kalau bagi fruits dlm kereta melekit pulak tapi i bawak juga just tak peel siap2.bagi food sgt boleh distract his attention hihi.nasib kamu nie slim,kalau tak sure dobob dah,asal merengek je bagi nasi/pasta.

totally a random post,kekeke.i better get going,kain dah 4 hari tak lipat,sket lagi nak same tinggi dengan katil.kalau ikut hubby lagi best,buat ape lipat nanti nak pakai balik.hahaha i love u laling

since esok dah nak balik KB,takot internet sane slow,i would like to take this opportunity to wish all of you eid mubarak,maaf kalau tersalah kata and do drive safely.
awal kan kitorang balik?there's a reason for it.
Hubby is leaving for Deutschland this Saturday forrrrrrrrrrrr 2 WEEKS!Yerp u hear me rite,he won't be here for hari raya,so mama dan muhriz beraya dgn family je lah.After a year,balik kg germany semula jugak hubby.
Kenapa tak ikut?because it was such a short notice,seminggu before puasa.flight ticket dah mahal,service apt dah fully booked and looking at his schedule,mmg packed.Since hubby kene stay hotel yg tak ade kitchenette,i bekalkan die a small rice cooker dgn instant ayam rendang/kari.Knowing him,campak kat mana pon he can survive tak makan nasi sebenarnye,makan pizza,pasta,bread all days pon tak ape.tapi isteri nie risau terlebih.Even though we're used to staying apart for so many years,ini dah 2 tahun tak pernah jauh,ok ke cik abang tue nak cari food sendiri nie hehe.
Tapi yang paling risau,ok ke si muhriz nie ayah nye tak ade for 14 hari nie.he's one manja baby i tell you.expected la kot since he is home grown.nak tido malam,kalau ayah tak ade kat sebelah,mesti turun katil balik pegi panggil ayah ajak masuk tido.pastu sambil nurse,garu ketiak ayah!hahaha yg nie hubby mmg tension sungguh la geli tak boleh tido.tgk Chuggington duduk atas riba ayah,ayah tido depan tv die mesti pegi kiss pastu korek mata ayah hahaha.
hopefully ok lah kamu nanti,ramai org kat rumah tok ma nanti.

so our wedding turned 5 last thursday ;p half a decade dah!we got married at 23,so that makes me 28 this year :).i just graduated back then,hubby pulak still studying,owh well,dah sampai seru kan?org lain still main kejar2 kami sibuk nak kawen dah hehe.kami dah boring dah main kejar2,hubby was my high school classmate,so sila kire berapa lama sudah kenal.
with muhriz berlari sana sini,semput mak nak update blog tiap2 hari sekarang nie.kalau die bgn lagi la,laptop nie mmg die punye.chuggington doplah pat jam!sampai mak pak pon hafal sama.tak tgk chuggington,main toys,panjat,selongkar bilik,dapor senduk periuk,penyet semut dan apa2 serangga bergerak,kutip taik cicak,ladybird,nasi tumpah,pakai tepung gandum kat muka.hohh itu memaksa mak nye yg tak rajin nie mop lantai tiap2 hari.hubby and i selalu wonder mana la die dpt energy nie,susu ibu sgt berkhasiat nampaknya!tapi tak kisah pon,that shows muhriz sehat walafiat alhamdulillah tapi anak,tolong la jgn makan taik cicak dgn ladybird lagi,nak terkeluar jantung mak tauu.

cleaning little one's toys

How often do you wash your baby'stoys?Since muhriz started to put everything into his mouth,i buat this almost daily.Dulu teether just rendam in hot water je.So muhriz,ni lah keje mama every morning.Since muhriz bergigi nie,die dah tak layan dah soft toys nie.The rest yg i consider as hard toys(except teether),i used Dettols to clean them up.You can use white vinegar(mix together with equal part of water) too.

dilute some in a spray bottle

spray it
let it set for a few minutes and wipe with clean cloth to dry.
toys lining up to be cleaned.spongy tue tak la kan=p
make sure the toys mmg kering bila si kenit tue nak main semula.so it's best to do this cleaning when your baby is still sleeping.asal bgn je main main main hehe

Think about this,the toys lay on the floor most of the time,even you would not want to put something that lay on the floor for days into your mouth,right?So let's keep our baby happy with clean toys:)

Happy birthday little one!

Grow up healthily,mama doakan semoga muhriz menjadi anak yg soleh,amin. As i wrote earlier in my fb,it feels like yesterday since we came back together from the hospital.Early parenthood was challenging and exhausting,with you waking up every 2 hrs for milk and nappy change.But it didnot matter as everyone was and still overwhelmed having you around. Mama and ayah/bapak/dada(which ever you wanna call him later=p) will always be there for you ok sayang?muaaaah!

DH ade meeting di penang,so i angkat tangan kaki nak ikutttt.last few weeks dah pegi makan durian kat balik pulau tapi gambar satu pon takde,nampak durian terus tak ingat camera.
saya sgt suka penang,tapi sepanjang almost 3 tahun tinggal di penang before leaving for london in 2008,boleh kire dgn jari berapa kali ambil gambar.taking things for granted,biasa lah tue.bile nak update blog,mula lah kene google gambar food nie!credit to the owner ye.so my makan2 plan

breakfast @tmn tun sardon.nak makan serabai dgn beehon soup lang buana.hopefully boleh gerak by 830am dari alor setaq nie

lunch@ minah restaurant in Gelugor(their kari kepala ikan is TDF!) atau kassim mustaffa Bayan Baru ja,layan nasik kandaq.Nak gi hameediyah macam tak sempat sebab meeting DH starts at 11am.Mamakk!saya mau ayam goreng potong dgn papadom.kuah ayam madu,kari,daging hitam campur okay!serious this kuah combination sedap,try lah hehe.

Dining out is not easy these days.dengan dudu nie,letak je dlm baby chair,siap lah.semua yg die dpt,die baling kat bawah huhu.tapi mama pon nak cuti masak jugak kan jarang2 ;p
so over the weekend,pergilah kami nie ke Kuala perlis,atau locals panggil Kola Perghliss utk berseafood.Kola perghlis nie dak jauh pon dari alor setaq,40km je.Gerak 430pm,515pm sampai lah.still awal so kitorang pusing situ jap.tgk ferry langkawi,tgk ja huhu.since that was our first time,mama pon google lah,tgk mana kedai yg recommended.Kalau chinese seafood restaurant,ramai kata Hai Thien sgt sedap,price pon affordable.Menarik nie!Tapi mama google lagi,Hai Thien nie pork free,masih serve beer.dah ter rasa was was pulak.So ayah muhriz cakap pegi medan ikan bakar la.So surf lagi,ramai vote Mona,gerai no 7.since it was still early,tak ramai lagi,6pm order,620pm semua sampai!

My budak rambut perang,gigi jarang nie tgh waiting for sunset,tapi last2 gerak awal jugak nak cari masjid.Ade surau kat medan selera nie,but with very poor condition,kotor,dgn takde airnya.so does the public toilet.bayar saje,masuk dlm tgk macam tue,keluar balik.owh well,mmg expected pon.
will we come back again?definitely!but for laksa perghlis pulak ;)

Ok,our case is the opposite way,hubby lah yg tutup telinga tue =p
i was quite surprise when DH told me and of course lah i denied it until.....he recorded it!gosh,i should do something about this before it gets worse.but according to DH,it happened occasionally,bukan lah i snore tiap2 malam.owh well,maybe i was just too tired chasing muhriz around.anyway,found this on the net;

common causes of snoring:

Age. As you reach middle age and beyond, your throat becomes narrower, and the muscle tone in your throat decreases.
The way you’re built. Men have narrower air passages than women and are more likely to snore. A narrow throat, a cleft palate, enlarged adenoids, and other physical attributes (which contribute to snoring) can be hereditary.
Nasal and sinus problems. Blocked airways make inhalation difficult and create a vacuum in the throat, leading to snoring.
Being overweight or out of shape. Fatty tissue and poor muscle tone contribute to snoring.
Alcohol, smoking, and medications. Alcohol intake, smoking (or second-hand smoke), and certain medications, increase muscle relaxation leading to more snoring.
Sleep posture. Sleeping flat on your back causes the flesh of your throat to relax and block the airway.

How you snore reveals why you snore

Closed-mouth snoring may indicate a problem with the tongue.
Open-mouth snoring may be related to the tissues in your throat.
Snoring when sleeping on back is probably mild – improved sleep habits and lifestyle changes may be effective cures.
Snoring in all sleep positions can mean snoring is more severe and may require a more comprehensive treatment.

Troubleshoot to stop snoring

Lose weight. Losing even a little bit of weight can reduce fatty tissue in the back of the throat and decrease snoring. Exercise in general can help because toning arms, legs, and abs inadvertently leads to toning muscles you don’t see in the throat, which leads to less snoring.
Clear nasal passages. Having a stuffy nose makes inhalation difficult and creates a vacuum in your throat, which in turn leads to snoring.

- shout abaaahhh,abaahhh,abaahhh when looking for me or hubby or his nenens ;p
-leaf through pages and point to the figures.tapi still kadang2 koyakkan jugak!
-clap his hand,especially when i turn on the 'if you're happy' song
-cruise,stand alone,take a baby step.after the first step,terus duduk hehe it's ok son,they say practise makes perfect kan,so take your time!
-point to things he wants
-roll balls back to us
-pick tin2y object and then put into his mouth!!
-drink water from his bottle independently yeayyy!

can't believe he's turning into a toddler in a month!puasa pon mama belum habis ganti lagi hehe.i have another 9 days to go ;p

a'kum,
selamat hari jumaat heee even a stay at home mama pon tunggu friday =p sebab weekend hubby ade kat rumah!lame tak hupdate sebab malas,gambar byk upload kat fb,lagi senang dan cepat!anyway my little one dah 10.5 mths!cepat betul.i better record his milestone here before tak ingat,sekarang macam ade penyakit short term memory loss.rubber band,sikat,nie bende tiap2 hari i akan tanye hubby mana i letak even sikat tue hubby pon tak penah kisah sebab die botak,mane de nak sikat rambut.ok let see muhriz's progress:

1.dah pandai tepuk.kadang2 bgn tido terus tepuk tangan hahaha
2.an expert crawler,climber and cruiser.turun naik katil sesuka hati.kadang mama dgn bapak die dah tido,die main turun naik katil lagi,kene pokk kat bontot sebijik baru join kitorang tido hehe.
3.kalau kite cakap mintak,or hulur tangan,die akan pass la barang yg die pegang tue
4.sgt bising,berckp mmg hobby,ikut mama kot;p
5.suke mengemas sampai mama malas nak kemas balik
6.refuse bubur since 8 bln hari tue,so sekarang makan nasi dan sgt suke nasi.mmg perut melayu even baked in deutschland budak ni,ok tak de kene mengena aa bila mak pak mmg rambut hitam,kulit kuning kan hehe.pasta makan jugak tapi still prefer nasi putih.kalau nampak nasi jadi restless,tak keruan org kate hahahaha.
7.gigi dah 5 and another 1 is emerging.suke gigit bukan takat nenen,kepala lutut org pon die gigit.suke gigit dan makan kotak jugak.ok tak tau apsal die minat kotak.mase pregnant takde pon mama tido ke main sorok2 dlm kotak.
8.he can stand on his own dah,dlm 10-15 secs tue boleh la,tapi pastu takot terus duduk balik.
9.kalau nak gi mana2 dan tamau merangkak,suruh dukung dan tunjuk la mana die nak gi,hamboi hamboi,cam taxi plak mama nie ye.
10.still drink directly at mama's,ebm in bottle tamau,air masak OK.juice tamau juga.masih nurse to sleep but i am fine with it,i have no plan to introduce pacifier to him.nursing session is when you get close to each other,hehe mama tgk muhriz,muhriz tgk mama,muhriz tido,mama pon tido =p.
11.suke cakar org.baby ke mama die ke bapak die ke semua kene.hari tue pegi clinic for his monthly check up,boleh tak die pegi cakar abg yg 1 yr+ depan2 nenek budak tue,sampai ke menangis.dudu,mama suke tgk aaron aziz tue dlm KL gangster,tapi kamu kene jadi ustaz ok!tamau gangster2 nih.
boss kecik @10.5 mths.buah hati mama dan bapak/ayah/babah/vater.hehehe still undecided ape muhriz nak panggil ayahnya,tapi definitely not daddy,yg tue inggeris sgt hubby kate,vater tue in deutsch,so takpa.

and i'm glad masih menjaga muhriz sendiri,24-7 with him.watching him grows and learns new things each and every single day is priceless!

In this scorching hot weather,tiba tiba teringat winter la pulak.Dulu winter asik ckp nak balik Malaysia,sini sejuk sejuk.sekarang tak on air cond habis berpuluh puluh.Among the three countries i have lived in;the States,England and Deutschland,yg teramat sejuk adalah semasa di West Lafayette,Indiana.Pernah the temperature drop down to -20Celcius,boleh imagine?So kalau pegi Deutschland masa winter,punya la eksen,asik ckp kat hubby "alaa sejuk sikit je nie" padahal dah ketaq kepala lutut jugak.I wonder lah bila boleh pergi balik.Tapi definitely pegi cuti-cuti tak sama dgn duduk kat sana.The feeling will never be the same.Tipulah kalau cakap tak rindu living abroad;the environment,the weather,the food,the people and the lifestyle hiks.But the other part of me sgt bersyukur sudah berada di Malaysia,dekat sikit nak balik kg!Tapi sekarang sgt panas rasa nak pergi mana mana yg sejuk,tapi mesti berpijak di bumi yg nyata,ke cameron highlands pon jadilah!

For a woman who is new to breastfeeding, support from hubby is very crucial.That is something money can't buy and that is the best thing our darling hubby can do when we are struggling through the first few weeks of nursing,when we are still confused and incompetent.I think i wrote it here before,if it hadn't been for hubby's support,i may not be confident to breastfeed our little one for this long.
People need to know that fathers these days are also aware and support breastfeeding too.And i am not surprise when some fathers or fathers-to-be contact me enquiring about the breastpump!Kudos to you!

Anyway,here are some ways how hubby shows that he supports me:

He helps to wash and sterilise the breast pumps and bottles then assemble the pump again.
In a steam sterilizer.Yes,it is as easy as ABC but action speaks better than words :)

He never questioned my purchase of the expensive pump and other breastfeeding related products.
In fact,he was the one who surveyed and purchased the freestyle for me kihkih,alhamdulilah.Kalau lah hubby ckp "Alah,beli yg cheapest one in store je",maunya mama meroyan nak freestyle nie last2 kene beli jugak ;p Breastfeeding is supposed to be free, but having a good pump make breastfeeding easier and convenient.And being me,pantang org kate makan ini itu boleh boost milk production,semua i try and hubby never complained.

He reads about breastfeeding and promotes breastfeeding to others
Hubby was initially more knowledgeable than i am about breastfeeding.He was the one who handled and stored the breastmilk.When i pumped,he was the one who marked and stored the milk(why past tense?sebab sekarang i stop pump kejap hiks).He often asks other parents if their babies are breastfed hahaha,sapa2 anak minum susu lembu,larikkk,JK!He often tells them he believes muhriz is hardly get sick due to breastfeeding.

He too woke up during night feeding
I fed the baby,he burped him.Muhriz was not a colicky baby but to burp him took sometimes,puas tepuk belakang,letak kat bahu la.Usually i gave up on this and passed him to hubby.

He is proud when I breastfed in public.
And by that,i am even prouder of him.Whenever Muhriz wants to nenen,he will accompany me to the nursing room or kalau budak tue dah melalak nak nenen there and then jugak,he will take out the nursing cover from our baby bag,put it on me and help to shield however possible.

So daddies,you don't have to feel left out.Your role makes a difference.
I hope more guys out there will support breastfeeding :)

I certainly need my blogging mojo back.Asik tulis,save or delete hehe.

So another week goes by.Minggu depan balik kg hurray!

Update on dudu;He just found out the way to climb his high chair.First he will make sure his fisher price bouncer is close enough to the high chair,then he will climb up the bouncer,stand on it and hang on to the high chair!sakit jantung mama asik nak memanjat nie.And currently he is obsessed with ripping pages off the book!So there goes few pages of my What to Expect,his bapa's Einstein Biography and his own TS book.Meal time turned into a battle time for 2 weeks until i gave up giving him rice porridge.Ok fine my 9 mths old son,dah besar ye,tanak bubur mama tak kasi bubur dah.So his menu will be something like this,nasi with chicken/chicken balls,fish/fishballs with veggie(carrot,timun,baby corn),steamed tofu,chicken spaghetti cooked with butter and fruits(honeydew,banana,apples,avocado) for snack.Utk mkn dgn nasi i usually buat soup je la but to serve,jgn bagi soup,he hates it huhu.Makan sendiri ok,mama boleh suap sikit2 jer.

Owh what we assumed was high fever previously was actually the symptom for measles(campak).Muhriz's temperature went up all the way to 40C and down for three days.Kesian baby,hubby pon ambil cuti.Muhriz had never been that sick before,never wanted to stay still tapi bile dah demam nie,jadi anak koala,wanted to be held and rest his head on our shoulders most of the time.On the fifth day,demam almost nak hilang but the rashes started to show up.Being first time parents,we went to the dr to confirm kan that was measles.So another 3 hari merengek-rengek,total up to 1 week!Taking care of a sick and cranky baby for one week was not easy.Nor it was fun.Cooking was out of question,mak pak tak mkn betul takpa.tak tido mlm takpa.What is hard is seeing our little one going through hard time,suffering and feeling uneasy.Now that he's back and crawling,nak suruh tido pon berperang ok hahaha.

Are you addicted to facebook?Facebook can be time wasting,but it somehow keeps me connected with others.You can see me on facebook a lot as I check it like 60 times a day haha but no,i dont think i'm that addicted.apart from saying hi and adoring others photos,there are some good groups for you to join and that depends on what kind of things you like and what you're looking for to share with others.As a mama,besides the breastfeeding(Kumpulan Ibu Menyusukan),cloth diapering(Malaysian Cloth Diapering Parents)and parenting(Malaysian Parenting Page) groups,another one that i'm currently hook on is the homemade recipe for babies(Resepi Bayi Homemade) and all thanks to my friend,azie,who introduced me to this forum.So go join the group!hehe

There's no rule saying that your baby's first food need to be rice cereal/porridge.Try to consider others too like banana or avocado.These fruits are not only nutritious and easily digested,they are easily prepared too as there is no need for cooking!Muhriz's first food was banana but it certainly not his fav.i can't remember when was the last time he had banana.

Anyway,I've been meaning to post this earlier (as mentioned in this entry)but lets just say i've been busy chasing after my little crawler ;p. It's no rocket science but i hope some will find this useful especially for a first time mama like me hehhh.

Avocado puree

1. Peel and scoop a ripe avocado

2.Place on a sieve and mash.Or you can just mash in a bowl or even blend it.
3.Add breastmilk or water to thin the texture.First food should be thinned to a texture not much thicker than milk
These photos were taken about 3 mths ago when feeding session was sweet and easy.Those days are gone hehe.Now it takes hours to get him to finish a bowl of porridge.Most of the time,muhriz will either screw up his mouth or turn his head away.that deserves another entry ;p

Lack of updates again. Earlier this year,i made promise to myself to update this blog more often but heckk bila anak buas,jadi excuse pulak dah =p.But seriously now that muhriz is crawling,there's more work for mama.As he picks up almost everything along his way,i make it a daily routine to mop the floor.Bunyi macam rajin bukan?hehe tapi reality nya mama Muhriz tak rajin so i just mop kawasan muhriz lalu je hahahhaa.But that is enough to keep me busy the whole day.Mop sini,tumpah air sane,mop sana,baling rusks bawah kerusi pulak dah.Hohh itu belum die merangkak pegi dapor,terjumpa tepung(mama tgh buat cucuq),habis buat main macam game suci dlm debu sukaneka tapi versi atas lantai hehe. Muhriz lovess making mess as he roams,sgt suke die.Die paling pantang mama kemas toys die,mesti die sepahkan balik.And he absolutely loves scattering his napkins on the floor,pantang betul lah die nampak napkin lipat2 nie.But from what i read,constant complains will upset and frustrate a baby,as if what is he doing is unacceptable and he is bad.So i just let him,sepah2 tue buat tak nampak,even muka sket lagi nak sama mak singa.Bila hubby agak2 nak sampai rumah,mama kemas lah hikhikhik.Hmm maybe i should contain Muhriz's play area and let him runs freely in one of the room,but how is that possible when mama spend most of the time in the living room watching tv =p.I guess i just watch him having fun,let him roam and mess and left this blog not updated teheee.Bye!

budak kecik dah 8 bulan..at 8 mth,budak ini still bertempek,tak boleh mama out of his sight,mesti panggil punya.still takot manusia besar ;p kids takpe,die nak kawan,excited kalau jumpa terus panggil.So mmg la sungguh kene join playgroup or masuk nursery next year.tapi nanti mama nangis pulak.semlm mama sampai mimpi hantar muhriz to nursery,then mama buat drama menangis kat nursery tuh .so sekarang anda semua tahu mengapa saya decide utk jadi SAHM,plan nak hantar baby to nursery next year,tapi sekarang dah start menangis kahkah.ok back to the little one,merangkak belum,nak merangkak ye kot.malam2 still kene pusing bawak naik kete.almost every night ye puan-puan sekalian!pernah tue 12am dan die still mau naik kerete,masuk kereta senyum lebar nampak gusi hehh.
sekarang muhriz ade new interest,nak makan ape yg mak pak die makan.so dinner kitorang mmg huru hara,menjerit sane sini sebab ade tangan kecik seboook nak curi nasi org.kalau nak dinner dgn aman ala2 romantik,kene tidokan mamat nie dulu,makan cepat2,kemas cepat2.

muhriz still tido bawah ketiak but lately die dah pandai terjun tiruk turun dari katil!bahaye nih,sebabkan org kate sleep when your baby sleeps.tapi mama nie,kalau nap ptg tue,muhriz dah bgn mama tido lagi hihi.So kejadian yg ayah risau2;mama tido anak terjun katil dah jadi minggu lepas.tapi baby mama ni hero malaya,nangis sket je.
lagi,muhriz masih lagi nenen 100%,kasi EBM dlm bottle kesian bottle kene baling.pagi tak suke makan,so lunch dgn dinner je.rusks dulu makan,sekarang buat baling.so mama la tukang makan nye.

ok mama nak join muhriz nap sebab hari nie mama puasa,level kewarasan berkurang sikit sebab panas sgt dan risau milk production affected ke tak nie.

Should breastfeeding continue when mama is sick?

Of course!lsome sharing from the net regarding this;from kellymom: During any "ordinary" illness such as a cold, sore throat, flu, tummy bug, fever, mastitis, etc. you should continue to breastfeed. Just remind your doctor you are nursing so that if medications are needed he can prescribe something that is compatible with breastfeeding. Most medications are safe to take while breastfeeding, and for those that are not recommended there is almost always an alternative medication that is safe.

The best thing you can do for your baby when you're sick is to continue to breastfeed.

When you have a contagious illness such as a cold, flu, or other mild virus, your baby was exposed to the illness before you even knew you were sick. Your milk will not transmit your illness to baby, but it does have antibodies in it that are specific to your illness (plus anything else you or baby have been exposed to) - they'll help prevent baby from getting sick, or if he does get sick, he'll probably not be as sick as you.

Withholding your breastmilk during an illness increases the possibility that baby will get sick, and deprives baby of the comfort and superior nutrition of nursing.

You can also take measures to prevent baby from getting sick by doing the usual things to prevent the spread of illness: washing hands often, avoid sneezing/coughing on baby, limiting face-to-face contact, etc .

Many times moms don't nurse frequently enough and don't get enough fluids to keep the milk supply going. Sometimes medications can cause your milk supply to diminish, as well. To avoid a decreased milk supply, drink plenty of fluids to avoid dehydration, continue to nurse often and avoid/limit medications (like antihistamines) that tend to decrease milk supply.

Baby feeding is not easy.Planning a nutrious meal for him is fun but encouraging him to eat is totally a different story.My baby used to accept almost everything i put in his bowl.But now,no anchovies,no chicken,no sweet potatoes and i hope the list stops there.But he loves fish,especially salmon.Salmon twice a day makes Muhriz smells so fishy hahaha so a bath is a must after a bowl of salmon and broccoli!

Recently muhriz loves feeding himself.He will reach out for his food (and mine too) and grasp into his mouth.But he loves throwing food as he is eating it.By the way i see it,he's throwing for fun,gelak sakan seeing food all over the place!More mess,more work for more.Allowing him to feed himself is a vital stage of his development,so i just let him and let hubby picks up the cleaning later hahaha.

Until this phase is over,i shall just enjoy the mess,and be patient i guess ;p.

muhriz turned 7 months on sunday alhamdulillah.

and i am more than thankful muhriz dikurniakan kesihatan yang baik.belum pernah demam lagi.selsema pon sekali je mase raya haji,berjangkit dgn mama.and by fully raising him at home,i am by far,satisfied watching him growing up everyday being a happy ~~manja~~ baby.muhriz still survives without formula milk,buai and pacifier yeay!!

Supporting green campaign means saying NO to disposable diapers but if we're going for a long outing/journey,i still pakaikan disposables sebab kalau die poo poo?mama tak pandai manage lagi bawak soiled Cloth Diapers(with poo poo that's it!)kihkih.Otherwise,he's happy in these colorful Lunatots!

bapak,can i have more?As of today,there is still no sign of crawling,tapi mulut byk tau,bising budak nie.With 2 teeth in place,i'm slowly introducing him to more coarsely pureed food.Avocado masih lagi fav,banana tak layan dah.sekarang if he refuses his porridge,i amik je avocado mesti nakk,so dlm peti mmg ade avocado,botak la kepala pak hang anak oii.

I've also included salmon and chicken on his plate now.He loves chicken and accepts salmon well but after 2 days of chicken,i saw him scratching his arms,so that's it,good bye chicken for now.

Re-frozen after thawing is no good.so salmon ni i potong in small cubes terus,nak masak amik portion nak guna je,tak payah defrost semua sekali.new menu!salmon and broccoli

Next week will be a travel week for us,to KL ikut ayah training and to Pahang for his pak ngah's wedding.Hopefully he will overcome his stranger
anxiety lah,kalau tak mama takdak keje lah asik jadi mama koala hehe.

yeay my baby can roll over and over and over and then creeep hihi!When he first discovered it,it was 12am!Dah pandai tue excited pulak mamat tue,he rolled and rolled non stop for half an hour,cuak mama dgn pak die takot jatuh katil.mak jadi pagar kat one corner,pak kat one corner,pagar bantal tak jadi sebab die roll naik atas bantal huhu.Well,it can be fun for you baby, but it can also be nerve-racking for us!
And since muhriz grasps basically everything he picks up into the mouth,with this newly found mobility,i have to be extra careful.the other day,i left him for less than 3 mins to loo,and when i returned,he was at the other side of the mat,chewing a rubber band!I almost die,ok!
Haaa,this guy loves ripping up papers so much too!Habis bills,receipts,mama's note,semua kene hehe.and that goes into his mouth jugak.And not to mention dirt he picked up at the corner.nampak sgt mama ~~malas~~ tak sempat nak sapu rumah.nasib sempat flushed out from his mounth.i will try to baby proof as much as i can.i know that is one way for him to explore the world but why the mouth,baby?mama hope you will get over this phase as i am absolutely terrified!everytime i see him chewing something,mesti i gi korek mulut die.kadang2 tak dak ape pon dlm mulut,die saja buat kunyah2,nak kene betul!

Being a SAHM is not boring! =p

I have worked outside the home in the beginning of marriage.Well,we got married at the age of 23,few months after i completed my degree.Hubby needed to go back to DE to complete his Diplom and i have no option but to enter the industry.Long story cuts short,after my MSc,i got pregnant and so we decided that i would be staying at home waiting for the baby to pop out and later taking care of the baby until hmm until we think he's ready to be sent to a babysitter hahaha.

Anyway,staying home with a baby is a whole different game.Unlike regular job, this one doesnot have a break and you have so little time for yourself.My policy is that when my husband goes to work, I get to work. There's always something to be done,one after another;dishes after feeding,cleaning up the bath area after bathing,countless nappy changing and cleaning,laundry,cooking,selling pumps online hehe,and now i'm trying to write more often too.The amount of energy needed is overwhelming especially if your baby likes to be carried around so much like mine hahaha.dukung budak 7kg tue ke hulur hilir sidai kain,sambil makan hehe kurusla mama nye.Whenever i do not not have time to keep up all the chores(especially folding and ironing the laundry), I just left them undone and take care the next day.

And what keeps me sane here?Because my hubby treats me well and appreciate all the things i've done.He doesnot complain if he sees pile of unfolded clothes in the guest room,or if i forget to iron his favorite work pants.But,one thing i try to manage no matter how busy i am with the house duty,is cooking.It is often said that the way to a man's heart is his stomach and everyone agrees on this.If you follow my blog,you will notice that i love cooking simple stuff when i was in Deutschland,nothing fancy mind you.Cook,snap photos and post it here hahaha.I do not cook like a chef,but on most days,i will try to fix something for dinner,even it is as simple as ramly beef burgers and chips!hahaha

Besides home made dinner,my other aim is to have on the table when hubby gets home from work.So semlm hubby mkn bubur kacang ;p.cett so much talking,ckp je la baru first time buat bubur kacang and hubby ckp sedap kuang2 babaiii

Breastfeeding Journey part 2

There are many ways that breast milk far outweighs the best formula including its ability to provide perfect nutrition for your baby.

Breastfeeding has never been a question for me,i was determined to breastfeed my baby way before i got pregnant with Muhriz.But i keep telling myself to be open if it doesnot work for us but we will try our best.After all,if we fail to breastfeed for the first time or even for the first few days,does not mean it will fail forever.Breastfeeding is learned and does not come naturally,it needs practice.

As i delivered via c-sect,it took me a while to gain full consciousness and as soon as i did,the epidural effect wore off!!Seriously who ever says c-sect delivery is nothing compared to normal one mmg nak kene sekeh huhu.
I know delaying the initiation is not good but i needed some time to recover myself.Coming out from the OT,I could not even feel my legs and could hardly move,so fearing i might drop Muhriz instead of holding him,i chose to rest first and let the excited family entertain the baby.
And i have informed the nurses that i would like to give breastfeeding a try and since we got a private room to ourselves,they have no problem rooming in Muhriz whenever i requested to.Muhriz was delivered at Pusat Perubatan An Nisa,Kota Bharu and i highly recommended this hospital as the staff sgt2 bagus and friendly!The hospital was well established,dah lama dah since 1980+ if i'm not mistaken,even some of my friends pon were delivered there hahahaha.
Back to the nursing,first trial-failed!I thought i have read and reread everything to boost my nursing savvy,but i still failed to get Muhriz to hold on to the breasts!Kasi kiri tak boleh,kanan tak boleh jugak!Jgn tension,jgn tension!Muhriz was hungry and stressing up won't help.Try lagi and he managed to hook up,but there's no milk hihihi poor baby.
I think he managed to drink some milk on the second day,but by then,we've already topped up with formula since most of the times mama was busy picit hidung baby instead of helping him latching up.i got discharged on the 3rd day and as soon as i got home,the nurses from local klinik kesihatan came to visit.Though i delivered at a private maternity center,i chose to inform the local kk so that they could come for home visit,it's a free service,bagus betul!muhriz was diagnosed with jaundice,a mild one,so they advised me to breastfeed him EXCLUSIVELY!so that's the end of his Mamil Gold,guna tak sampai 10 sudu.This was when the pump became so handy!I pumped every 2-3 hours,before or after nursing.Mmg macam kilang susu.Nasib baik hubby mmg pasang pump to siap2 before pegi hospital,dah basuh semua storage bottle and charged battery siap2.To my surprise,everyone in the house was so supportive about this.Hubby mmg lah,he read and prepared himself a lot more about parenting ni than i was.Hubby handled the EBM to be stored,washed,sterilized and assembled the pump.Tok ma and tok wan,tukang jaga muhriz mlm2,bgn panaskan EBM to feed him at 2 and 4am.and since it was fasting month,night feeding was not a problem,satu family bangun huhu,lepas subuh,satu family pengsan!;p

Well,that was 6 months ago :) Now,budak kecik nie busy tolong mama pump ye nak?

suke nye hubby,patut la mintak 1 scoop die belikan 2 huhu

Few days ago we went to Giant supermarket to get something,which i forgot ape bende nye,suis kot?jalan2 tue nampak this storage box on half price,deal of the day or sth.Since i was looking for one to store Muhriz's toys,ape lagi.beli lah.Hubby ckp amik 2 lah,one for his toys and another one as..........his car since these boxes come with wheel,and he kids you not!
Sekarang hubby dah ikat tali kat depan tue so senang nak tarik.nasib kamu la anak,
bapak kamu ~~cheapskate~~ Maschinenbau Ingeniur hahahaha.A toy,as long as it's safe,entertaining and stimulating,does not have to be expensive,ayat tak boleh blaah ;p

semlm hubby ckp the current hot weather reminds him of Andalucia;our final euro trip before coming back for good last year.and i don't think i even blog about it, sekarang i've started to forget the names of the places huhu.

Preparing Muhriz's rice porridge

Muhriz started solid when he was five and a half month and his first food was banana puree instead of rice cereal.I will blog on how i prepare this puree later,simple je.Rice porridge was introduced a week later,once i believed he's ready for it and once he's used to eating twice meals a day.I started with plain rice porridge and slowly added new vegetables every 2-3 days.Anyway,ni simple steps on how i prepare his porridge every morning.Currently he's into potatoes,carrots and broccoli.

The ingredients; brown rice,potatoes,baby carrots and broccoli.

Masak macam porridge biasa.Add the veggie later on,agak2 the porridge is about to done.

Blend the porridge to fine it.

Sieved so you have a sauce-like texture.

Upon serving,add some EBM of course.Susu ibu di mana2 kan;pI'm so looking forward to cooking his meal,lagi best dari masak utk sendiri ;p
